They said they don't have plans for it right now, but it could still happen if the timing is convenient, I guess.

If they can find the time for it,it wouldn't be a bad idea. It'll be great at giving players a sense of the controls and the visuals, not so much what the full product will be like. It'll also be super helpful for PC gamers who are trying to figure out if they can even play the thing with decent settings.

Or if anything, they can do what they did with DA2 and pair it with the CC.

Never, as many others have stated they've already said that there's not going to be a demo or a cc demo.

The DA2 demo was exactly what happened in the game in those two scenes.  No it didn't have the recycled areas and enemies falling out the sky, but the combat, the dialogue, everything was exactly like it was in the game.

Not IMHO, it wasn't able to convey what was good about the game.

That can be argued for any demo. Still it was true to the combat system and it's nice to see how the game runs in our pc systems.

All I want is a character creator. Don't need to demo the game, just want to demo faces till I find the perfect one.

The last word on the matter is there are no plans for such things currently, if I recall correctly.

The demo will be ready when the multiplayer is ready then, no?

The only demo possibility I see would be for BW to set up public demo area at GamesCom and Pax Prime. That way they can control access and assure that fans aren't rifling through files prior to release.

Of course, the fact that I have badges for Pax Prime in no way influences my hopeful opinion.

The DA2 demo was in no way representative of the game as a whole.

Both DA2 and ME3 showed exactly what the games were like.

If there is one, it will not be coming out until after the game ships.

If we get a demo after the game is out then we don't really want one.

I'd rather have the character creator in advance instead of the demo. But if they don't release it beforehand I hope its because they are adding more hairstyles and sexy sexy scar types :L

No playable demo so far. I find them more detrimental to a game than giving it positivity to be honest anyway. They often give players a very wrong impression as to how a game actually is because it's a very small sampling what the game is meant to be. It's really complicated making demos for games that are more open like DAI because you'll likely have to drop artificial barriers around the player which would again give them wrong impressions. I still remember the ME2 demo and thinking how so wrong that demo was in actually showing how good that game was going to be...

I disagree. A demo can be a fantastic chance to show off your game. I played the demo to Dragon's Dogma for many hours and it only allowed you to sample a tiny portion of the game. Whereas I completely abhorred the DA2 demo and I hated the game even more.

I think I heard they won't be making one this time, but I don't know.
