I don't even know how one could accurately judge if another is playing aggressively to outscore one.
I guess it depends only if he/she outscores the ones doing the judging.
Playing aggressively and outscores the ones doing the judging: "Oh, she/he must be cheesing, OP, OP blah blah blah just chasing after score blah blah"
Playing aggressively and not outscoring the ones doing the judging: "Good play!"

I do not see a problem with
Getting credits for nothin, and chicks for free
Obviously I can't speak for others, but I have just as much fun hanging back and watching others backs as I do devastating a spawn. Assuming that everyone's playstyle is on a sliding scale from "inefficient/bad" to "aggressive" or similar is just as much faulty reasoning as it is to say that aggressive always equals bad.How even one can "play passively" or "play more passively?"
I don't really ever use the super-OP loadouts, just because I like to try a lot of new things. The only time I come close is when I slap my Claymore and Incendiary rounds on my Batarian Soldier, which I consider to be my PUG-proof loadout. Even then, I usually use Shock Trooper instead of Grenade Capacity. I also like playing a more relaxed style, so I am literally never a "try hard." In fact, often I think I need to be more aggressive.
I wouldn't judge anybody for doing using OP stuff, because you really should play this game however you find it the most fun. I probably wouldn't want to play more than 1 game with someone who was using an OP combo and killing all the enemies though, because that affects my fun level.
I see you mention score. So I apologize beforehand for saying this, but in my honest opinion? That bolded part above sounds to me that you have become what you dread others from becoming: a genuine "try hard" yourself.
So do I really have to explain what's an aggressive playstyle?
Have you never seen those who rush spawns and often die in the process, then possibly jeopardize the mission if they run out of gel or force rocket use? Have you never played with the guy who will always stand just a bit in front of you at the beginning of the wave to be sure to get to the spawn first? Have you never seen anyone using rockets on wave 11 and objectives? Or spawn nuking when there's absolutely no need?
I don't think playing aggressively is stupid. Most of my friends have a natural aggressive playstyle. Playing over aggressively for e-peen reasons is. Also it's kinda rude. On gold with good players, you run out of stuff to kill. I take my fun by pewpewing stuff so when someone just nukes everything, what is left for the others to do?
Also talking about score makes me a try-hard? There's a scoreboard at the end of each game. You don't have to pay attention to it, but whatever you do, some will look and draw conclusions. But yeah, if you really don't know what I mean, then blessed you are in your innocence. You can call me try-hard or elitist if you want.
You gonna judge me on my BatSent?
If someone jumps into my lobby with a try hard kit and plays aggressively to outscore me then yes, I have all right to judge them. Otherwise I don't care. If you don't feel confident while pugging and feel that you need some cheese, why not. When I meet pugs who can hold their ground I happy to play whatever I want and relax.

You didn't mention anything about *stupid* play style in your 1st post, only "aggresive play style" and "try hard kits" how they aggravated you. Of course people playing stupidly bothers me as well.
So I gave you my thoughts about that post alone. I am always in the opinion that judging someone by their kit--which is this topic is all about--is a stupid thing to do, but that's just me.

She clearly said "depends on playstyle"...
On topic: No judgement from me. Sometimes I like to go super OP and kill all the things, other games I will play something like a no Bloodlust melee Vorcha Sentinel. Who cares what anyone else thinks? I play for my fun and it just depends on what I find fun at the time what I use. Someone doesn't like it, they don't have to play with me, but that is their loss.
Edit: Unless you meant her first reply to you, in which case she said "plays aggressively to outscore me."
I don't care what anyone uses in game. However someone plays, I will continue to play my way like normal. Not going to judge people on kits they use.
I don't understand.
The kit you use determines your character and morality as a person? Should they not fit in with your ethics, are you to condemn them as a heretic or heathen, doomed to be purged in the fires of hate, spamming, trolling, and massive flamebaiting?
It seems as though mountains have been made out of molehills here.
I do. History has shown me that players who always use these "OP" setups tend to try too hard and ignore objectives just to scorewhore. They tend to be a little missile happy as well (extraction included). I prefer playing games that don't involve any of the above, so I'd leave.

I'd need to be especially awesome to judge anyone so since im not i will just leave that to others who think there better suited to it an just stick to my sh*t n giggle games
I could care less how you play if you get in the damn hack. If you play a GI with full equipment on silver and run around killing things instead of following the drone, I will justly hate you with the passion of a thousand suns.

Yes.
It just strike me as odd. But chances are I just misunderstood her.
Anyways, kouzrah, I apologize if I offended you in any way, shape, or form. Thinking about it, calling you a try-hard was a bad behavior from my part, so I apologize for that.
Personally, I judge those who judge.
I mean, who cares if there's a player using AIU Reegar X with Incendiary IV on Gold/Plat or even Bronze/Silver, or if there's a GI using Harrier X. So what. All it does is just making things easier for me to get credits for that game, so all those players can kill everything in the map while I just chillin for all I care. It doesn't affect rewards whatsoever.
I always find it silly that people in general are viewed unfavorably when using such set-ups. So what. It's a judgment mainly raised due to strong feeling of elitism, nothing more than that. "Oh look at that guy, using AIU Reegar X Incendiary IV, pffft cheese, he must be a try-hard" is such a silly, silly thing to think.
You know, not everyone plays for credits like you do. There are some people who actually play for fun, and an appropriate level of challenge is commonly a major part of that. I find it perfectly understandable if some silver player (or a group of them) would be thoroughly annoyed when a Hurricane GI joins and annihilates everything in sight, leaving nothing for others to do. Nothing silly about that.

Fair enough, I guess. Although in my eyes it is more than that; it is the sense that anyone using one of these so-called "OP kits" are automatically judged as "try-hards" and the like, or if they perform well, they are "not good players since the kit is so OP!"
I don't know; for me, looking down on people just because they use "OP kits", whatever that means, is such a silly thing to do.

I can agree with that. ![]()
