Depends on mood, thought just about every Gold lobby I enter I ready up regardless. Cause curiosity killed the cat, and most folks really do need the help from cheap setups. After all, these cheap setups only exist because casual gamers rule the gaming world by a landslide. And if BioWare didn't cater to these folks, then they wouldn't be doing as well. Hence they probably seen via stats that most folks were doing bad (here, have some stimpaks & a Puggernaut) and weren't using certain powers enough (here, have some grenade capacity), and thus acted accordingly.

 

So yes, if folks need extra help, I say let them use it. If folks clearly don't need the extra help and just want to be super cheese on easy street, well, that's fine too if not used all the time. But if they do like to use it all the time, nothing is stopping me from leaving.

I could care less what people use.  I had to grind for about 800 hours to get all the so called OP level x weapons so I run what will get the job done or is fun for me.

I have better ways to spend my time. It's more likely for me to judge the colour scheme you're using than your kit and weapon.

 

Merely judging someone on how they look or what colour they are doesn't seem right to me. I prefer to judge someone on how they treat others, what they do and if I can speak to them, chat to them and find out what they are like inside. It's best not to be too superficial.

No. Sometimes you want to try new stuff and play less optimal things because you think they are fun. Sometimes you want those crates. Same with everyone else. Maybe I wouldn't like that I'm sitting there doing nothing when I want some action, but then I'll just find another group and leave current people to their devices, but I don't feel like judging them for doing what they like as in the end it's still benefits right group.

I do. History has shown me that players who always use these "OP" setups tend to try too hard and ignore objectives just to scorewhore. They tend to be a little missile happy as well (extraction included). I prefer playing games that don't involve any of the above, so I'd leave.

Seriously though, if I'm pugging then I'll use whatever I want. I'm just not good enough to carry a bad team with ANY kit. Usually it goes like this:

 

Loads kit I want to play with

Arrives in good lobby, stays with said kit

OR

Arrives in bad lobby, changes to Krosentinal and slaps on Grenade V

 

So, no I wouldn't judge someone.

I don't recall that. I would've left if I'd realised j/k. The keyword is "always". I'm referring to certain players I've run into that don't ever, and I mean ever play anything other than the most OP of setups.

Talon merc with no Cain mines and a Shuriken.

 

Volus Adept specced out of shield boost with a tiny little Scimitar.

 

Someone will still complain that they make the game easy mode, though.

Good point. I find myself scanning along the list of characters and weapons going, 'oh, grenades, oh, infiltrator, oh flamer, oh duricane, oh, acolyte, oh, Talon' etc etc
