I started to play again; I have a few saves and since I have yet to play the extended cut and the last DLCs finally I feel like playing again. 

I have a couple of saves with Kaydan and a couple more with Ashley; I do remember Gabby and Ken having their romance a couple of times but I really don't remember who of the 2 were with me at the time. So I got them Gabby and Ken just after Palaven, they were talking like usually; now comes Kaydan to the ship and I did 2 missions and they are not talking anymore. After looking around I found that you have to be a good friend with Ashley to have them banter. I played another mission just in case and they are both quiet. So I start a freaking new game this time with Ash... only to have the same: they banter until Ash gets back to the ship (after Citadel coup) and after 3 missions they don't talk anymore.

I read that the extended cut "fixed" this so I don't know what's happening. Do they just keep quiet for a while? Will the start again?

I believe it was fixed. Ashley is dead in all of my playthroughs and they still talk.

LOLOL! I have, but I'm more fond of Kaidan since he was my first V.S. I saved with Genesis.

She's not, but with FemShep, there's too many women on the Normandy, and also, I believe I mentioned that their chemistry was disastrous.

My latest completed run made me an Ashley fan.

 

Sure, her morality is questionable, her religion annoying, and the random bouts of poetry make me cringe, but... that girl really loves Shepard. Beautiful romance with all the DLC.

 

Only slightly annoying you have to confirm the relationship somewhere in the middle of ME3 while having stayed faithful beyond *bleep* death.

All the romances have a point where they're locked in, though. Some earlier than others, true enough, but Liara's romance locks in during the same timeframe, that post-coup presidium meetup. 

 

I may have to try her romance out again next maleshep game after this current run. Too late this time around.

Remember how sometimes Wrex only pretends to listen. He was reliving that battle he had with Aleena in his mind the whole time.

There's a couple more I think. Have you got that GX-12 thermal pipe for Adams yet? I dunno if that has anything to do with it, but Ken and Gabby do have a couple lines to say during all of that.

- They just stand there, typing something into their consoles.

- Ken already went "Inside" EDI to put the new pipe.

- IIRC they had a couple of more lines after that, I forgot to save before getting Ash back just to check their last conversation but I think it was about the poker table going to waste. 

I just read something about editing the save, I'm going to test now what happens.

Well, I don't feel the same way, but well said. Truth is, Kaidan just mostly gives me Carth Onasi flashbacks.

 

And Maleshep and Ash have decent chemistry in ME1.
