DLCs I would pay for

The general idea behind this thread is listing ideas for DLC that are NOT story based DLC which you would be interested in buying.

I giving this alot of thought and given what we know at the current time I have a couple of ideas:

If we exclude price at this point though of course I wouldn't buy something like a weapon pack if it was like 20 dollars.

Customization packs: more hair, eyecolors, beards, horns, scars and tattoos and so on: could be fun to have especially when you're on your sixth or seventh playthrough

Item packs: this is admittedly not so much for the item themselves but mostly to have more things you can customize with.

New specializations: probably one of the more impossible ideas, teetering close to story based DLC due to what we've heard about specializations but still at a later through could be fun to have but probably more time consuming to develop than one would expect.

New talent trees for each Class: Again the same with specializations, mainly this is because I would still love a dual wielding warrior to return. Something for the rogue could perhaps be a Single weapon style, like using a longsword or axe and keeping the other hand free. I would probably pay a shitload of money just for a dual wielding warrior talent tree though.

More Mounts: Ridable bears!

Animal companions: A pet Bear... I love bears ok?

What are the kind of Non story DLC you would pay for?

I'm only really interested in story based DLC, honestly. I don't really bother with item packs or aesthetic stuff.

If I'd have to pick one, I'd say more customization packs for the CC. Especially once they find a solution to the apparent long hair problem. Even then I'm not sure I'd buy it. Story DLC is most important to me.

But not things like new specs or talent trees, Imo that would feel a bit like a rip-off and I don't use that word often.

Item packs and customization packs??? Uhh...what, I wouldn't pay to unlock a color ingame, most people I know wouldn't either. Item packs tend to be overpowered so no to those also.

you don't have to pick one, these were merely my thoughts, What would you like to see apart from Story-based DLC?

Well they would have to be... substantial or cheap. I never did buy the color black in Fable 3 for instance.

I really have no idea. Just story dlc is fine for me. Item packs are a bit too overpowered imo. We already know there will be no dlc characters. It's kinda hard too think of non story based dlc that would actually be worthwhile to me.

Orlesian voicepack. Alas, given the origins of the inquisitor, it may not make sense in game. Or financial sense given the effort that needs to be put in.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to buy story DLC, but more customization like hairstyles, scars, tattoos (body tattoos?) etc...would be cool too if it was cheap.

In terms of what I'd actually pay for at a fair price?

Probably things as stupid as additional item templates for moar customization. (And now I gave EA an idea)

In terms of what I actually want to see?

Superchunky expansions that rival standard AAA game content quality and length. (Similar in theory to Dragonborn for Skyrim)

Ridiculous and impossibly impractical implementation, know-it-will-never-happen-but-speculations!

Waking Nightmare difficulty: specially tuned to kill out "Cheap" tactics such as by giving companion permadeath if you try Partial-Party-Evactuation tactics, bringing closer value-symmetry to enemies of similar capability (IE: Humanoid enemies have access to strong armor, weapons and abilities at the same level the player would). Give enemies (especially bosses) a "Counter Cheese" ability. For a boss it might be the ability to draw-in targets to counter gratuitous kiting or terrain exploitation.

Mario Kart style multiplayer.

Nug cars, bronto cars, cars pulled by qunari, those weird dalish elf carts as cars

Attacks are the item boxes. Blood magic is the blue shell, chain lightning is the lightning bolt, haste is mushrooms. etc.

Depends on the actual game - I purchased all Mass Effect Alternate Appearance Packs and I would purchase those for DA2 in a heartbeat. Not sure about DAO - I would not buy generic armors. Maybe if there was some non-generic character specific armor...

I dont like paying for weapons - it feels like buying cheats. Only purchased one of the ME3 weapon packs, because it was on sale.

Legitimate region expansion packs that are content-heavy.

Sorry OP, but as fun as customization packs are, I don't want to spend $15-$20 on a hairstyle kit for my Inquisitor.

The only DLC worth buying in my opinion is story based DLC.

Cc options would be awesome. I don't care about weapon packs because they're overpowered... maybe a pet? If it's a summon like da2 mabari(though not a mabari), I'd probably buy it.

customization pack I can think of buyng. I would not like it, since I think customization should be good on its own, there should not be the need to buy a DLC.

usually I buy only story based DLCs.

Really only story based DLC ideally in larger, huge chunks more akin to say Oblivions Shivering Isles addition or DA: Awakenings. Something a year or two down the line from release that wasn't simply locked away in the original content but is actually new and takes a sotry or the story onwards. Like a longer more expansive Leliana's song would be ideal.

only story dlc(who have a new specialisations and others)

and new companions and LI(especially elf/kossith/dwarf females for male elf/kossith/dwarf Inquisitor) what would be non-shems and not a pro Orlais/Orlais Chantry/Templars and Qunari

hope that we can have new advisors to replace that scums like Lelianna, Cullen, Josephine, Vivienne and Cassandra

How about a crafting enhancement DLC? "The Inquisitor's Armoury" or something, that would add several new models to the existing ones, and perhaps even bring back certain legacy items from games like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter's night? As a long time fan, I'd love to see Cassandra wearing a state of the art model of Aribeth's armour!

I don't see much need for Bioware to Rule 34 their games much further. They can crowdsource that to the fanbase and modding community. :P
