I had a thought last night in regards to the possible CupcakeQuisition: Round 2 we talked about briefly (for maybe a few weeks after game launch).

 

What are your thoughts on expanding the message to encompass a general thanks to BioWare for focusing on being inclusive and representative to those that have historically be under-represented (or absent entirely) from games? I.E. not just women, but also people of color and the LGBT community? 

 

I thought about it because a few of you mentioned LGBT in your personal letters, and I felt like that was a message that deserves to be sent just as much as the message that more female protagonist marketing is great.

 

Expanding the group would mean a little less "security" in here, simply because the more people who join, the more eyes that see things. So, anyone who hasn't already removed their real names from the messages thread may want to do so prior to any sort of expansion (if we even expand; I'll not do something if the majority here don't agree with it). But I think it would be good to include EVERYONE like that and, as mentioned before, let anyone who wants to submit a letter be able to do so whether or not they can donate money to the effort.

In relation to expanding the group, as there seems to be a lot of shit posting in the thread with people constantly posting 'why does this thread exist' 'this thread is off topic' and the latest classics which got me riled a little 'feminist hurah(sic) thread' and 'y'all shallow for talking about her clothes and not her personality' maybe we do need to close the thread and open a female inquisitor thread in the story and campaign section, much like the femShep thread in the ME section.

I don't know if it needs to be done, it can be. I am not interested in fleshing out a personality for a "nameless" inquisitor. I do like them trying to keep away from a default male or female. Which does kinda push away creating a personality. Though there are threads about "your first inquisitor" type things. Those personality talks could fit in those threads as well.

I can't see a reason to flesh out full personality when I know that what happens within the story will influence my role playing.

I agree. A background is fine to know but to what their personality is, no, not before playing. Inquisitor is our personality we make of her, or him.
