Well, parts of these happen when Ashley lives and she's not your LI.  She and James add a little Jersey Shore to the party.

(and most of the things you say happen in/around clubs.. the ME party is more a cozy house party severely lacking drugs)

((that and, most of the things you say would've driven the puritanical part of the US into a frenzy, unless an 18+ label was added to the game))

Do the people who are against that not know what happens to Fountain Square and Mass Ave after 9 PM?

BioWare scripted that scene very poorly. I guess they didn't have that much time to completely judge the entire scene. Originally, Thane was supposed to kill Udina, provided he survived ME2 and was talked to. Kasumi was also another character that you had to take along, provided Kasumi was recruited, loyal, survived, and her ME3 side-mission was completed. But the coup was much different before the finalized script.

You can add two other scenes that were poorly done.

1) If Jack isn't in ME3 or your'e playing a default ME3 playthrough, Ensign Prangley is killed. Why wasn't my squadmates providing cover fire for Prangley?

2) When picking the Quarians over the Geth, only Tali or Raan(if Tali is not in ME3) react when the Legion/geth VI attack Shepard whereas your squadmate(s) stand around with their head up their a**

Oh, prudes...

To be fair though, we American's aren't nearly as bad as a lot of people think we are.

There's a sizable population of older folks that come and go through some of the bars, plus they have several higher class establishments that I like to frequent. My personal favorite is this cozy little dig on the Circle in Indianapolis called Nicky Blaine's. It's a cocktail lounge and high class cigar bar, with a very smooth combination of a classic, rat-pack 60's style of cool mixed with modern and hip elegance. Whenever I get back to Indy, I try to get in there. It's my place for gauging a prospective woman to see if I think we can be a good or not. I remember I told Fiddles once that if she ever found her way to the U.S, I was gonna go take her there at some point.

Oh, yeah, one more thing to mention: The weird guy who goes out by himself and stuffs newspaper in his ears because he thinks the live music is too loud. I got a pic of that to prove it.

I've always found those people that go out by themselves a little... odd.

From what I've seen with my flycam, your other squadmate is in the area where you were fighting the Reaper on Rannoch.

As for Jack, your squadmates are non-existent for the duration of the scene.

People are strange. That's really all I can say. After drinking until closing time at 3 AM, who can really blame them?

My friend hijacked my phone (another thing, the friend who inevitably loses his phone. I'm the guy in the background with red hair trying to peek in.)

YES, THE DUDE THAT ALWAYS LOSES HIS PHONE.

My former roommate lost like 5 phones in the year I lived with him :D

The squadmate does nothing. He/she just stands there without even drawing their weapon or reacting at all.

Yeah the squadmates were nonexistent in that scene. Makes me wonder what the point in having these squadmates. Useless.

Somehow, I think BioWare totally forgot about the other squadmate. Like I said, the other squadmate is in another area far from where you are talking with Legion and Tali. The other squadmate does show up after you've made your choice, and I believe they only show up if you side with the quarians or you make peace.

I'll check this was I get home. I have a bunch of screenshots of when I chose the Geth.

My bud went through a wallet and two phones in the span of a year.

His wallet got stolen when we went to Cabo for a week, his first phone fell out of a plane when he went sky-diving, and his second phone is lost somewhere in the Tin Roof pub, never to be seen by mortal eyes again.

"We can't just go out there and fight, this is all about strategy and tactics"

Oh and instead of "That was for Thane, you son of a ******!"

I dunno, something else. Just the option, I mean, I really didn't care about Thane even a little bit.

I agree that the Citadel party sucked. When I told Glyph to make it louder, I thought the whole thing was going to get crazy, but nope, it was extremely tame. I have no idea why we weren't allowed to invite those party crashers in, especially the party girls, it would have gotten exciting then.

I don't have that much problems with the auto dialogue in ME3, to be honest. I'm much, much more annoyed by ME1 showing me three distinct options, yet Shepard says the same thing every damn time. I don't like to played like a tool.

We should have a thread about illusions of choice someday. The last time this came up several people said that this was a good thing, because they thought they had control even if they really didn't. Information options do something similar, since a lot of them could be integrated into the dialogue without loss of RP opportunities.

Yeah I saw that too, but it was said by a guy who pretends Mass Effect 3 never happened and that there's no space magic in ME1 and ME2, only in ME3.

I can't really take that serious, to be honest.

Joker's involvement within the Citadel DLC arc ruined everything for me.

Hmm. The problem with this is that that Shepard doesn't know of any workable strategy at this point in the story. How about acknowledging that instead?

" 'What do we do?' What makes you think there's anything left that we can do? My plan was to mobilize the galaxy for total war while we still had time. You idiots made sure that didn't happen. There's nothing we can do except try to take a couple of Reapers down before we're all exterminated."

Too despairing? I suppose we need P/R flavors too.

Yeah, I was half joking with that. But the line he gives where he points out that the Reapers are bigger, older, and they don't fear us was good for pointing out that the odds were against them. Personally though I think Shep does enough calling people fools for not believing him and his lack of evidence; I feel like calling them idiots might come off as kind of childish.

Shep could just admit that he doesn't know and all they can do is defend themselves and try to find some weakness. Or alternatively the war committee could try doing their jobs instead of asking some guy.

It's not so much the childishness that would bother me so much as it would seem terribly counterproductive. I despise this one pusher I have to deal with when trying to file paperwork at the courthouse, but calling him a lackadaisical parasite won't get me very far.

Have you tried?

I've learned from the MEU that yelling is the ultimate persuasion skill.

Hell, it got Tali off scott free. The renegade diatribe Shepard gives the admiralty board in ME2 is easily my favorite speech in the entire series.

What's everybody's problem with the 'this isn't about strategy or tactics' line?

I've never even raised an eyebrow upon hearing that line, I remember the battle of the Citadel.

My issue with it is that it takes Anderson to even mention trying to get the Council (or any non-Alliance leadership) on board, which is about the only real plan they can come up with until Hackett sends Shepard to Mars.
