I'm just waiting for the Global Language to be decided/created.
I swear if it's English I'm done speaking.
I use English, but it is a jury-rigged mess of a language.

You develop an accent based on the people around you when you learn the language. So it would be safe to assume that you learned English from people with a British accent.
probably my English teachers and too much BBC and Harry Potter movies. Curiously enough my 4yo nephew does have an English accent from watching Thomas and Friends and my 7yo and 10yo nieces have American accent from too much My Little Pony and Barbie movies.
Since the rice burnt earlier, I have been speaking bad language. I have been told I am fluent in it.
American English is the only language I can speak fluently.
I can sorta half-assed understand a tiny bit of German. Sometimes. My school didn't have German classes til my senior year, otherwise I would have taken more than one year of it. It's one of the few things I miss about high school.
I took three years of Spanish, which I really wish I didn't sleep through. Sometimes I get customers that speak strictly Spanish, and it can be difficult to make a deal when no one can understand what the hell everyone is saying. I've picked up a little, mostly automotive terms, from reading the boxes from the auto parts store lol.
Bomba de agua? No es bueno.

I payed attention the entire class, and still didn't learn anything.
Ah, the education system... ![]()
English is the way to go. Simply because its so widespread. There's a reason why people want their children learning English everywhere, even in China.
English is a third language of mine. Swedish is native, and Finnish a second.
I speak both Finnish and English fluently. I also know a bit of Swedish and Russian.
Holy crap, I though krogan was posting again!
Malay is my first language, English is my second. I think I have a British English accent though I've never been to England and my English cousins like to make fun of that (I'm cheap and too poor for flight tickets). I can understand some Cantonese and read some Chinese as a kid which is useful when I start to learn Japanese (but nowadays, only enough to read ingredient labels at the back of something "Made in Japan" and read manga without translation... because tankoubons in Japanese tend to be cheaper than English translations).
You're from Singapore?
I'm from Malaysia but my dad used to be Singaporean... so I'm both, I guess? I was at Singapore earlier this month. Didn't miss much, except for JB's seafood. Big prawns... yummy squid... crabs... T_T
I speak.......the language of loveeeeee (Said in the voice of Barry White.)
Russian, English, Finnish. In that order.
'Murikan English is my first language and I'm just starting to learn Portuguese.

I only speak English I'm afraid. (though I do really, really want to learn other Languages. Like; German, Norwegian and Gaelic. I should probably learn French too, living where I do)
