At this moment I like Solas the most. He seems like someone who thinks things through, he doesn't see things black and white. He also seems quite intelligent.

I like all the mage characters this time around. I guess maybe Dorian since I'm interested in learning more about his homeland but I can see Solas being invaluable in the Fade.

Dorian and Solas are my two favorite characters so far.  In addition, I plan to be a mage.  Further, the Dorian-Vivienne conflicts sound cool.  Too many cool mages competing for my attention in a party of four!  Oh well, looks like I'll be rotating them around (and likely having multiple playthroughs as well).  And no I suppose I didn't answer the question.

I'm pretty good at rotating my parties, but I'm biased enough towards Solas and Dorian, and more interested in their perspectives, to know that Vivienne will be used less than both of them the first time out.

I'm torn between Solas and Dorian. I can't imagine ever really having Vivienne in my party, I really don't like her. She's too much of a diva. But who knows, once the game comes out and I've had some time to interact with her, I may end up loving her.

While I will be using all three of them, as I like to change my party up pretty frequently to get a good amount of everyone, I think that Vivienne might be my favourite mage of the three, at the moment. I tend to prefer more pragmatic type characters.
