Solas, while switching Dorian and Viv for the second spot, when I am not playing a mage myself. Or I might take all three, while my PC is set to Rogue. That could be fun! Especially if I set one of the mages up for Knight Enchanter to help my rogue out, getting "up close and personal" with eveel things.

All three, it seems. With a mage inquisitor. So, that'll be interesting   But alas, eventually I'm sure my inability to get past locked doors and chests will force me to pick a rogue or warrior (lock bash?) instead; though my party will be Dorian's forever home because LI.

Planning on Solas most of the time, but Dorian will have to come along frequently.  I rarely play a mage, so maybe I'll just bring them both.  Haven't made up my mind about Vivienne, will use her some, but probably not much with my Dalish rogue.  I just don't see them getting along well.  Maybe later with a human warrior PC....

Solas is the coolest companion mage imo, but there's a good chance that I'll be my group's mage, if the Necromancer specialization is what I'm hoping it is.

I will need a primarily DPS mage in my party as I cannot trust the AI to heal (with a main healer in multiple games AI heals is cringe-worthy).

 

Which Mage will be able to dish out damage like Anders with his Vengeance buff? Damage dealing Anders is still my favourite.

All of them, probably.  I want as many mages as I can get.

 

Though for some reason I expect my first PC won't get along with Vivienne.

There's only room for ONE mage in this party and IT'S GONNA BE ME.

 

Well . . . I might let them tag along to a quest or two if they're nice.  But I'm the Official Mage and they are the Assistant Mages.

I always play as a mage, but Im certainly keeping Dorian with me as much as possible! I also plan to bring Solas along quite a bit as well.

It depends on the character, I will have to see how I like Dorian or Solas an dwill probably pick between one of them.

 

Vivienne just rubs me the wrong way, from all the info we have about her. She seems very arrogant and up on her high horse, I don't care for characters like that.

Me since I will be playing as a mage. As far as companions go, I will have Vivienne for my first playthrough and will use the others on my next playthrough.
