Apologies if this has already been asked/addressed, but an idea that has recently occured to me. Could it be possible to retroactivly add to the Dragon Age Keep program the ability to create a save import for DA2 from the events of Origins and associated DLC. I know the save flag issues are probably considered relatively few. Was wondering if it had been considered/thought about/wanted?

They did talk about this and said that The Keep will only create saves for DA:I, not any previous game. So it cannot be used to fix any import bugs from previous games, just the World State you create for this game (and any possible future ones).

I actually thought they said they were "looking into" importing saves, nothing conclusive.

That is about importing saves from DA 2 to DAI whereas the OP is talking about something else entirely. He wonders if the Keep can be used to create saves for DA 2 and be loaded into DA 2. This isn't likely to happen because the Keep doesn't even seem to generate a file (this is based on a comment by Bioware in the official Keep thread a few weeks ago). I am of the believe the Keep actually generates some kind of code, like the ones generated in character creation of previous Bioware games, only this time the Keep doesn't give you to the code but saves this to your world state, whereas your game client can read the code to initialize a particular world state taken all your criteria into account.

Oooh, I see.

This seems plausible. Much easier to maintain a database of values that can be called rather than a horde of files that wouldn't be exported anyway.

Thank you to those who have responded to this thought. I just wanted to clarify that I know that the Keep has been designed purely to import saved world states into Inquisition. I was just thinking, is there a possibility that they may revisit it 6, 12, 18 etc months after Inquisitions release to update/patch/tweak the program to allow further functionality.

It is possible (even probable) that they tweak and add new functionality to the Keep. At the moment, the Keep seems to address two main issues. First, to avoid the messed up plot flags in the imports. Second, to deal with the cross-platform conundrum.

Here is the question: When I'm I gonna get accepted on the beta testing for  Dragon Age Keep?
