I can't be the only one that absolutely loved the little "twirl" that you could do in KOTOR, just a simple little animation that you could press and do while running around, it ans' tanything major but it just had this charm about it.

I'd love to be able to have something similar to do in DA: I with my sword/axe/staff or whatever your character is equipped with.

Yea in DA2, i was constantly sheathing and unsheathing my weapon to make it look like i was twirling it.... literally "constantly"

Yeah having an animation tied to the 'attack' key (interact) while a weapon was up and you didn't have anything to interact with doing something with your weapon was always entertainment. Like jumping in other games... which... I'm going to jump a lot in this game. There is going to be some point where I half-space out running somewhere and I repeatedly jump like a bunny.

...my streams going to hate me on twitch -.-

It wasn't in the PC version?! Those monsters . While I tend to play on consoles far more then PC (just out of enjoyment of not having to 'deal' with the PC), this is one reason I'm happy DAI is actually getting straight controller support. Not cause im going to play it on PC, but both games are literally identical to each other now. ME and DA have always had that awkward split you know? They have all the controls and UI for both but somehow PC doesn't get that side even though there's no logical reason why it can't.

Hopefully DAI has a twirly option available and its for everyones enjoyment. Also, bzzzwwsh, bzzzwu-bzzzzwuussh

Are you serious? How'd I miss this? I didn't even know that.

Not on the PC.

I guess that's why :(, why would they not have that on pc.

I remember doing it in KOTOR. I spammed Z or X (forgot the key to do it) and my character would just spas their hand out.

It was pointless and silly, but yes, I loved doing the little twirl animation, especially since I had dual lightsabers in the first game, and a double-bladed saber in the second. I probably wasted more time than I should, spamming the Z key and just giggling like a small child while my jedi twirled their weapons.

Would certainly not be opposed to this in Inquisition, especially since I'm a PC player and apparently missed the fun for DA2. :C

Unless our weapons also make the cool lightsaber sound, I can do without it.

I thought I was the only one who absolutely loved this. Blade twirling went a huge way in getting me psyched for combat. It's part of the reason why I love the Dark Souls II twin blade weapon so much.

If we can do this, can we also do Qunari head-butting (or is that another game...)

Depends. Outside of combat or not actively looking at an object? Sure, that twirl animation was kinda cool.

If there's an enemy twenty meters away and I press the attack button or use a melee ability, I'd want my melee character to run up to the enemy and engage them, not twirl their weapon and give me back talk.

Same if I target a bundle of spindleweed, a person, or a locked door/chest, I would want my character to go to the object and interact with it rather than twirl their weapon.

Because it was a console port.

Lol I'm not the only one! That's good to know.

You could sorta do it in DA 2 on PC, if there was a lootable object nearby, but not close enough to actually loot it. Pressing the r key several times would bring out the weapons and twirl them. I would intentionally hold off looting a body to twirl my weapons sometimes (edit: by sometimes I mean like after every fight lol!)

In DAO, the dual wield talent dual weapon sweep and later whirlwind, was my go to talent for weapon twirling spam.

In Swtor it wasn't as easy, but shadows and assassins had lacerate, which I spammed many many times while running around, often doing bonehead things like breaking stealth early because of it.

@SofaJockey : Hah! Not sure it would have the same impact as Krogan headbutts... but I did that so much in ME3 MP hahah! Oh man just running around headbutting everything, the air, the walls, my buds, enemies stupid faces. Nothing was safe!

In KOTOR, I used to pause it midway through the 'twirl' and laugh as the lightsaber would have cut off an arm, leg or even cut my character's head in half lol
