It's better in some ways, worse in others.

On the up-side, the layout(at least with the Dark Skin) looks slicker, the Quick-Post and Advanced Posting are one in the same now, and the general quality of posts is higher than it used to be. Locked topics and required moderation seems much less necessary in terms of volume than it did before.

On the down side, this place is dead in comparison. One of the reasons I stuck here was due to the high-traffic, and it's been significantly slimmed down since then. A lot of good friends left due to the removal of quite a few features. Polls are still around, though they're tied to topics. Groups exist, though they're either moderated or removed if not BioWare related.

The short answer is it's much more peaceful, but much more boring.

I'm pretty sure they released Fallout New Vegas. Cass was a good example of there top notch character writing.

How easy are they, like say I wanted to send them into a frenzy, what would I have to say without being so obvious?

 

Implying that the characters in the Dragon Age series are "Mary Sues" seems to do the trick, also pointing out flaws in the series lore's logic works as well, basically anything that implies that the series isn't as well written as the fans think it is.

The RPG Codex forums are worst and their mods act like crybabies who will ban you simply for disagreeing with them from what I've seen.

I also know that they're still butt hurt over the fact that Bethesda and Bioware don't post on their forums anymore. They have an ongoing crusade against Gaider that has lasted from 2002 and I remember that before the release of Skyrim, they tried to get an interview with a famous Skyrim developer but he turned them down and they got angry because of this and made some article about it. Apparently they're still pee'd off that Bethesda's forums also don't accept links from the Codex.

 

They most certainly are crybabies.

 

Just visit their current Inquisition thread. 200 pages of the same guys talking about how they hate Bioware, David Gaider, teh gays and Inquisition but they've managed to make it over 200 pages for something they apparently hate. It would kinda be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

 

Incidentally, Skyrim and Dragon Age also are majorly talked about on the Codex despite many of its members claiming to hate the games.

No he's correct, the codex is a joke or at least 85% of every thread is a joke.  About 15% of perhaps decent discussion about 85% of total trash.

I have to agree with Beerfish and Eternal Phoenix on the RPG Codex.

 

I just skimmed through their thread on the new Dragon Age.

 

I found these gems:

 

Ten posts showing the small mental age of Codex users. I love the fifth post here where the guy says people on BSN don't get out much right after claiming the Codex is inhabited by basement dwellers (which would include himself). These morons don't even realize when they're contradicting themselves apparently. You can't insult someone as a basement dweller when you're one yourself.

 

We've got one poster obsessing over some of Bioware's fanbase as if their tumblr posts somehow mean so much to him.

Despite claiming to be "old school RPG junkies" they seem to be solely dedicated to talking about who they can have sex with, the apparent ugly women in the game and the gay romances which is ironic as they bash Bioware's fanbase for being obsessed with sex.
