I can see that. Do you still use the stability mod if you're on-host (i.e. your stability passives are working)?

I have used Stability Consumable and Barrage Gear before too, but I tend to like the Stability Mod the best, off-host or on-host (even if it is overkill on stability sometimes).  It seems to me that any other mods you can put on the Argus really only help bump up your boss damage, and don't do much for your mook-killing ability, and mook-killing is really what this build is made for.  I think that having a 15% AR damage bonus along with Power Amp/Adrenaline/Cyclonic helps you a lot more than any mod that you could put in the Stability Mod's place.

Also, I'll be honest, I never really fully understood when Turian stability works and when it doesn't.  I rarely seem to have problems with stability not working, even off-host.

Gotcha. While I don't foresee the Argus replacing any of the weapons I typically use on the TSent, I'll definitely keep this in mind if/when it comes time to kill off AR Mastery again. Who knows, maybe it'll help me actually like the Argus (its just one of those weapons that's never done a whole lot for me, and I'm not huge on ARs in this game in general).

Using the stuff you currently have I would personally just go for either the carnifex or the executioner (that's the only pistol that has native piercing). Your character build is the same one I personally run and my preferred gun is the Arc Pistol but unfortunately you don't have it yet. If you are intent on using the hurricane, I would say go with the barrage upgrade if you're having trouble maintaining the recoil.

Concerning the executioner, since it has native piercing you can extend the penetration using drill/ap rounds and the piercing mod since that gun doesn't lose damage if you hit an enemy through cover. For the TSent though I would put on whatever barrel I have and the piercing mod. It goes hand in hand with overload. Overload>headshot=One dead Marauder. At least on gold. I haven't tested it on plat yet so I cannot say for sure if it's the same thing.

Good luck with your journey in gold and eventually plat. :D

Well, I mainly have been sticking with the hurricane, and I finally got a high caliber barrel for the smg.

I've also tried this out: http://kalence.drupa...!12U25212!5F9A5

That's because I have a piercing mod and extended barrel V for the sniper rifle. It works fairly well. I run around with the hurricane and whip out the raptor for heavily armoured bosses. Seems to work well.

For armour mods, I tend to either use cyclonic modulator, a weapon stabiliser or adrenaline mod. The weapon stabiliser really helps with the hurricane. Sometimes I swap the operator package with barrage upgrade.

If I know we are fighting collectors, I take the extra shielding. lol.

edit: oops updated the link (it was the wrong one).

If you know you're gonna fight collectors, take warp rounds (on gold at least) that way you can be effective against all defenses the collectors throw at you and you can take advantage of warping enemies with the extra damage that you can inflict on a primed target with the warp ammo.

A build that discard Tech Armor entirely. Interesting.

To be clear on this: I would use a different build personally (36665), but I think 06666 is more suitable considering OP's manifest (heavy, low-level Claymore, no HVB, limited supply of AP/drill ammo and adrenaline/cyclonics).

I am kind of trying to figure out this character myself, want to try playing/learning more about Turians.

I apologize I hijack your topic a bit, OP, but if anyone can recommend me builds for him based on what I have, it would be most appreciated.

A couple of fun suggestions:

Executioner

PPR 1 / PPR 2

Widow

Hornet power spammer

Thanks! :D

Executioner and Hornet eh? I rarely used these two so it should be interesting to experiment.

A Turian sniper too... hmm, interesting concept.

Noob friendly?

Well, when I moved up to Gold, I used something similar to this loadout, which should probably be achievable for you.  Very tanky and survivable, use overload for crowd control/detonate team mates powers if possible, and warp then shoot for decent damage.  Also, if enemies get close...TECH ARMOR!

Nowadays though, I tend to use this build and loadout.  More of a hybrid weapons/caster class this way.  Not really a noticeable difference in terms of survivability either...or else I've just gotten better at using RHA and soft cover.  Plus, more weapons damage = more better.

The Crusader can work too - totally trashes your CDs but heads poppin' off everywhere with Overload to stagger (to compensate for the weird firing mechanic).

You may want to consider trying the Incisor instead of the Raptor.  You will probably do more damage with the Incisor, if you use the stability consumable.  If you pair the Incisor with the Hurricane, all the added stability will help both weapons.

I suck really bad with sniper rifles such as the incisor. I find the scope zooms in too close and I can't track the monster. Especially collectors. The raptors scope is about the zoomiest (lol?) I can handle. What can I say, imma scrub.

I took this build into platinum the other day with a full team of friends and it worked extemely well as a support build with a decent damage output.

You can replace the Lancer with another AR if you don't have it. Really anything to spread incendiary cheese with.

Eh, practice with them, it gets easier. I hated scoped weapons when I started this game.

yeah, i definitely need to practice. watching my video is excruciating. I was so out of my depth. For whatever reason I feel like I have to get to gold to get credits, but maybe I should try practicing new builds/weapons on silver for a while. Or just familiarise myself with gold and go from there?

Or fire up a bronze/silver solo and get the "feel" for the weapon you're struggling with. It can definitely be a chore trying to learn a new weapon or kit on gold where everything's being killed around you.

Hi sithren. I'm not skimming the rest of the thread so I apologize if this has been suggested. Try this build, it drops Overload to maximize durability and deeps.

Tech Armour - 6 (Durability, Melee Damage, Durability)
Overload - 0, you'll be spending points elsewhere
Warp - 6 (Detonate, Expose, Pierce)
Turian Vet - 6 (Weapon Damage, Headshots, Damage and Stability)
Fitness - 6 (Durability, Shield Recharge, Fitness Expert)
Weapon - N7 Typhoon (Magazine Upgrade, Extended Barrel)
Equipment - Assault Rifle Rail Amp, Barrage Upgrade, Cyclonic Mod, Warp Ammo

It's a very good beginner setup and great for a manifest still in the works. The Brophoon can tear through large amounts of HP in a short span of time when utilizing the debuff from Warp as well as powering up your warp ammo. Stacking on a large amount of stability will help keep your crosshairs on target. And your huge amount of shields plus Tech Armour's damage reduction will allow you to withstand quite a few hits.

Don't forget to use right hand advantage religiously to avoid being staggered and losing the Typhoon's ramp up damage. Also remember that Warp can either stagger a mook or cause them to dodge - in both cases it stops them from shooting you for a moment and you can easily kick the Typhoon into gear without retaliation.

Let me know how it goes! :)

Thanks, never thought of that. Just tried a bronze solo with human soldier and claymore (didn't want to rely to much on powers, used nades for phantoms/dragoons and atlas). Went pretty well! A few of these with the T.Sent and I think I'll be much better with the claymore. Great advice.

@moby, that is an interesting build. I might try it out. The one thing I find myself doing, though, is turning these characters into weapons platforms. I specced a bat sent without lash, a geth trooper without flamer, and a now a t.sent without overload? haha, If anything I will get really good as using the weapons.
