The demo was obviously on god-mode. You see a few points where character health spontaneously refills.

An unkillable party, or a party with high stats? Because those are two different things. The first I can understand for a demo. I don't see why they would give themselves OP weapons or stats for a demo (we didn't see that anywhere else).

Unkillable. In both versions of the dragon fight in the Hinterlands, members of the party appear to regain health without using potions or being healed.

So that doesn't explain how Sera has access to such a powerful ability that allows the team to kill the dragon at a point that's obviously not endgame (it's the gameplay they've been showing off, with Dorian and Leliana and such).

My guess is the devs modified the demo in order to show off endgame-level combat flow without actually bringing the party to an endgame location, in order to avoid spoilers.

Possible though at the demo (it was the Xbox one at San Diego Comic-Con) the guy talking specifically said that they weren't supposed to kill the dragon then. Which makes me doubtful as to why they'd have it if they weren't using it.

Dragons keep the Nug Bomb populations in check. To hunt all dragons will bring a disaster greater than the rift tears!!

I don't think BioWare is clever enough to implement an optional environmental change factor, but we'll see.

I really hope that hunting, especially hunting dragons, will impose some realistic weight. Given that DA is based, somewhat, on ASOIAF, I'd like some grounding in reality, such as the fact that given that Dragons are creatures, they clearly evolved within a need of the environment. So I'd love to see impacts of your hunting them, such as "Yeah, now there aren't as many dragons, but this thing is happening now because the dragon population has fallen dangerously low."

I would really reinforce the atmosphere that they tried to capture within the previous two games of the world being more shades of gray than black and white.

Speaking of dragons, what was that fat horned dragon in the trailer?

If you're referring to the dragon fought in the Hinterlands, it has been referred to as a Fereldan Frostback.

Pretty sure it was both. Those templars and mages before the dragon died pretty quickly. High damage stats allow the demo driver to move through and show proofs of concept quickly. A full length combat encounter would probably seem drawn out and repetitive to a viewer no matter how much fun the player is having.

Hunt to many dragons and you get Dragon supporters and protestors outside your keep throwing bags of smelly juices and slime through open windows stinking up the place while waving signs saying: Save The Dragons! It would be a medieval PETA we would be dealing with!!!!!!

Keep those around the keep alive just so they have what to munch on.

Other animals or people will occupy some areas, I guess.

A goal of mine is to accept the challenge and slay those suckers if they are encroaching on settlements, near my keep(s), or they are an obstacle I can't get around. That and some dragon scale boots may look sweet. ;)
