but to many, Religious belief is a form of fanatic belief.

depending on what you consider religious belief if you going to the church and pray no that doesn't make you fanatic if you walk at night and murder that oppose or get into way of your church or religion i would argue.

Indeed - her service to the Divine (when she could have stayed her own master as a bard or even become a member of any number of other organisations (from criminal to intelligence and assassination...from the crows to the Shadows of the Emperor from Orlais)) make her a Zealot (maybe not an in your face zealot that kills all non-believers and wants them purged with fire, steel and even magic - but the kind that kills for her religion and the leaders of said religion)

All i know for certain is that she's a stooge.

Justinia says coffee, Leliana responds "The usual?".

Justinia says jump, Leliana responds "How high?".

Justinia says bark, Leliana responds "How loud?".

Justinia says run, Leliana responds "How fast?".

Justinia says cut yourself, Leliana responds "Which artery?".

Justinia says get down on your knees. Leliana's responce? "I'm deeply honored your Grace.".

A goon to the core.

Because being loyal to someone who saved your life means you're a stooge and a goon. Or is it just because the person she's loyal to is the Divine?

Whatever Justinia orders, she follows.

You can be dedicated to a cause and not be a fanatic. If anything Leliana questions her beliefs several times in the serie so...

And you know this how? We don't get a lot of insight into how their relationship works other than the fact that Leliana is working for Justinia, we have no idea if she follows her orders unquestioningly. And I find that unlikely since she is a spymaster. Individual though would be encouraged in someone like that. And once again, Justinia saved Lelianas life. Is it that wierd that she is loyal to someone who did that?

We already know Leiliana thinks for herself.  She rejects popular Chantry beliefs, she serves a woman she believes in, a woman, by the way, who is hardly a manaical tyrant.   Justina and Leliana have attempted to promote peace and open dialogues between warring parties.  I don't she any evidence of her being a fanatic.

And so will Cassandra, but apparently they are religious fanatics.

IIRC Leliana offered no advice to Justinia on an alternative method of freeing the mages from the Temps and did just as she ordered, even when common sense dictates that warring against your own military arm will only make the situation worse. Plus her being a spymaster means jack when it's mostly used in service to her master, autonomy be darned. From what little parts she's had in Asunder and TME she seems like stooge. I wouldn't be surprised if she aggressively pushes for the Chantry's agenda on the Inquisition.

Just real quick I wanna freshen up on something. How did bioware say Leliana survived if you chopped off her head? I remember Gaider saying that if you killed wynne Asunder would unfold differently but am unable to remember why Leliana was always alive. I know they answered it. Sorry if its off topic I just can't remember if the answer was Maker or not, and its probably best to ask in a Leliana thread and not create a new one for so simple a question.

*EDIT* Thanks for the answer!

The maker saved her.

Really though, the 'head cut off' is just an animation.  I believed they said something would be brought up if she was killed though.  I wouldn't be surprised though if it was just something like 'she only almost died and the ashes healed her'.

I would be surprised if she actively pushes the Chantry's agenda, as she expresses her dislike of  the Chantry's beliefs in Origins. There's also the very high probability that Justinia dies in the Fade Breach at the start, meaning that Leliana would have no connection to the Chantry anymore.

The actual decapitation didn't happen, that was just a gameplay effect. You stabbed her and left her for dead in the same room as something that managed to heal Arl Eamon from some sort of demonic sickness. It's rather probable that she survived.

That doesn't mean she's connected to the Chantry though. That just means she's an Andrastian.

Leliana's nipple is a spoiler.

It's definitely a big reveal. We'll finally have confirmation that women in DA have nipples as men.

Last I checked, she's still a Sister.

That's an incredibly tenous connection though, and I honestly doubt she would still be a Sister in the Chantry while working as the left hand of the Divine.

Also, doesn't she officially leave that behind i DA:O or is that just my head making stuff up again?

Using that brilliant logic, we were a goon to Duncan right?

There is no reason why she can't be a Sister while serving as the Left Hand of the Divine.

And no, she never officially leaves her Sisterhood behind.
