Why? Well, I suppose she will try to defend the chantry, of course, according to her beliefs.

I don't like Divine Justinia , she played the game , she failed , tons of people died.

I don't care if she wanted to change the world for the better , after Kirkwall you'd think the focus should have been calming the tension between mages and templars ASAP.

Not throwing a bone in the middle of a pack of crazy hungry dogs. And pray things are going to be fine.

I very much doubt , you can have a conversation about it with Leliana.I doubt she's going to say , yes maybe the Divine screwed things up a little.

I feel like it's going to be Duncan/Alistair all over again .

You still haven't provided a good explanation for how that makes her a fanatic, other than "the Divine told her, so obviously she's a fanatic". While I have not read Asunder (It's on my list), shouldn't killing templars make her the opposite of a fanatic? The templars broke away from the Chantry to hunt mages just for being mages. Those are fanatics. You also have not provided proof that she follows orders without questioning them.

I did that for few pages but if that is way you see argument at this point well pretty much no much sense repeating. And no killing fanatic doesn't mean that you aren't fanatic. You rly need to read asunder to get entire situation because for now you seem confused about events in the book.

About Justinia, I don't remember Asunder well but it seems to me that :

This is based off the scene where she was just tortured, yeah? God forgive her for being somewhat cranky. But anyway even if we assume how we saw her there is how she is now I still wouldn't use the phrase 'religious fanatic' as a descriptor because that's not the vibe she was giving at all. Hard? Yes. Cold? Sure. Maybe even a little bit cruel? Maaaaaaybe. Fanatical? Nah.

I was wondering what became of Leliana? From the marketing materials so far she seems unapologetic, harsh, cold and religious fanatic. Its the vibe I'm getting from the character.

What changed her? The image I had in my mind since Origins was this humble servant/believer of Andraste. A little broken character, turbulent past and all.

Is there something I'm missing here, like some optional DLCs, books or other satelite lore that alters her image inbetweex the games?

Considering what was said at Kirkwall and what befall Halamshiral, it seems that Leliana's changed quite a bit as a servant of Justinia.
