Warrior, half of the time I don't even have a warrior.
Three rogues and a mage is always my favorite.

I never do 2 rogues because they have so little health I know they're going to end up dead in any fight that last more than 3 minutes. 2 mages is nice, one for healing and one for offensive attacks like fireball.
Depends if my PC counts. Otherwise (other than my PC) I never double up on rouges or mages.
PC Dagger Rogue (i never play ranged.... might in inquisition though), origins: PC, Warrior (tank), Mage, Rogue (usually leliana cause i make her ranged)
, da2: PC, Warrior (tank), Mage, Warrior (dps) or ranged rogue (varric)
PC DPS Warrior origins: PC, Warrior (tank), Rogue, Mage da2: same as origins
PC Mage origins: PC, Warrior (DPS), Warrior (tank), Rogue (or swap dps warrior for another rogue) da2: PC, Warrior (tank), Rogue, Warrior (dps usually carver until act 2)
very rarely do i use 2 mages, i might take them to boss battles to help with healing, but for the most part i go for quick kills with durable party members. Im not a fan of dps mages, yeah they can nuke the hell out of people, but they tend to be frail. i like my mages to be balanced, with healing, attack magic, and stun magics to get out of situations
I dunno, I find rogues incredibly useful fighters (dealing lots of damage quickly) as long as you have the items/spells to heal them up. 2 rogues is common for me because my pc is a rogue most of the time. I'd say what I stay away from the most is 2 mages.
I wouldn't have two mages.
2 warriors.
Without dual wielding I don't tend to use 2 warriors at the same time. (Though my warrior and Fenris playthrough was odd. I don't want to repeat it).
Two rogues. That was a nightmare in DA:2. If I do I hope it won't end up like what happened in that game. "Shutters" X_X
I personally think having 2 warriors is not needed. I'd much rather have 2 rogues or 2 mages in my group.
I've never gone with more than one Rogue. In fact in DA:O I'm pretty sure I went without even one rogue most of the time.
I'll be having 2 rogues this time, my Inquisitor and Cole as well as a warrior mostly being Iron Bull and a mage who'll probably be Vivienne.
I'll have two warrior or mages, depending on what I want to be on my party. But I don't usually have two rogues on a team (well, I had once: with a rogue hawke and having isabella or varric mandatory on the group).
I very rarely take more than one rogue with me in a party. I can count on one hand-4 times specifically- the number of times I've taken two or more rogues, and I'm not including companions that specifically need to be in that quest to do it. I usually roll with 2 warriors, a rogue and a mage. But I've done 3 warriors and 1 mage, or vice versa, or three mages and a rogue, depends on what my Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor is. If I'm a rogue, I'm the only one, aside from once when I brought Isabela around for fun.
I really just take the people I like the most and work around whatever problems their fighting styles cause... but at least one rogue is unfortunately a necessity for me (can't walk past a locked chest or door).
Like many others, I tend to not usually take 2 rogues with me outside of companion locked quests. This was an issue for me in DA2 cos I wanted to take both Isabella and Varric.
I double up on warriors or mages depending on my mood or quests.
Usually I would say I don't see a reason to bring 2 warriors...but in DA2 I brought 2 warriors and 2 mages all the time, just cos of what companions I liked.
I generally will always have two mages tho.
Two rogues does seem pointless to me tho. Cos I'll always have at least 1 warrior (melee) and one mage (ranged). Bringing 2 melee rogues seems like too much melee, and I'd rather bring an extra mage for range attacks than an extra archer.
I usually never take two rogues.
My ideal party consists of either: 2 mages, 1 warrior, 1 rogue
or
2 warriors, 1 mage, 1 rogue
But almost never two rogues, unless I'm taking them along for fun or quest related stuff. I'm not opposed to the idea, it's just not the most optimal team in my opinion.
i try to take one of each class, one warrior one rogue and one mage, and leave the fourth slot to whichever character is better for the story. i usually take people based on whats going on in the quest. i know a couple of times in dragonage 2 i had an off balance party with a couple of rogues and no mage, and stuff like that.
I never have two rogues at once in a party. I usually have one warrior, one rogue and two mages. Sometimes I have one warrior and three mages just because I really love mages.
Dude, tell me about it. In both DA:O and DA:2, my two most amazingly OP team combinations were;
Origins
-Mage Warden
-Morrigan
-Wynne
-Alistair
DA:2
-Mage Hawke
-Merrill
-Anders
-Fenris
Basically what I did was build each mage very similarly to one another, but in a sense where they would compliment each other but setting up and setting off the same combos. So through proper tactics, they were able to CONSTANTLY do OP combos off one another. The warriors were there to tank it up plus control threat generation, keep the heat off my combo'ing mages.
For example, in DA:O all 3 mages were Spirit Healers, so the team was basically invincible. All 3 mages would have Crushing Prison and Force Field, so we can methodically pick off the most dangerous foes and leave the weaker ones up for slaughter later on. We'd also do spell combos off each other; Warden would cast virulent walking bomb on an enemy in a crowd, Wynne would petrify/freeze the enemy, Morrigan would cast stone's fist to set off the combo, and we just killed like 4-8 enemies in a massive bloody explosion.
I don't think I need to explain with DA:2, it's ALL about the cross class combos. All 3 mages gotta have upgraded Petrify, Chain Lightning, and Crushing Prison. The game becomes incredibly easy. Not to mention my Hawke was a Spirit Healer, made the party invincible.
Damn, I'm really going to miss Spirit Healing in Inquisition :'(
I'm all about the story over combat, so I take whichever characters the story leans itself too and gimping my stats be damned.
