I'll be buying an XBox-one before the game comes out.
What new hardware have you purchased for DA-I or any game?

Has long has I don't have to get win 8 I should be fine , might save up for an upgrade to vid card, currently just have an overclocked asus gtx 770.
But think I might need a card with more onboard ram, not sure what a good choice would be for someone on a budget.

-Intel 4770 (standard version) w/ Corsair H60 modded to have dual rear 120mm fans
-32 GB GSkill DDR 3 @ 1600Mhz
-4gb EVGA 760 Dual FTW w/ ACX Cooling
-1 TB Western Digital Caviar Black with 64 mb Cache @ 7200 rpm
-500GB SSD Samsung EVO 840
-ASUS Maximus VI HERO
-Samsung SyncMaster P2770 (1920x1080, 70,000:1 CR, 1 ms/RT)
-Logitech G5 Laser Gaming mouse (love it! Desperately want to buy another to have spare- but I can't find it anywhere....it's the best mouse I've ever used!)
-standard Microsoft keyboard (have looked at mechanical Gaming keyboards....would like, but can't afford- not the really nice ones anyways)
-CoolerMaster 932 HAF X Full Tower (still the best case on the market as far as I'm concerned....unless you wanna spend 4 to 500 dollars on an all-aluminum Silverstone case) I love the HAF X not only for its amazing air flow, but it's a dream to work with....tons of space, even for an XL or E-ATX motherboard!
*Fingers and toes are all crossed in hopes that I can run DA:I on High settings (at the very least) though if I had to- if there was no other choice, I would settle for Medium settings...but we'll see.
Everyone enjoy your day!
That system should be able to do ultra ![]()

The 770 is pretty much sitting right at the sweet spot for price/performance at this time. You'll be absolutely fine with that card. And there isn't really a "budget" upgrade path from it as that'd mean GTX 780 or go to the red team and a R9 290. These are not cheap, and the upgrade for a 770 isn't *that* remarkable.

Well part of the reason that I bought a PS4 was because I wanted to play the "next-gen" version of DA:I, and I also recently bought a new TV. I know that you were talking more about PC upgrades but a PS4 and a new Tv still counts right.....? ![]()

I'm still on good old 2GB MSI 560Ti OC card with my Win8.1 Pro x64,I will wait and see if I need to upgrade my card for decent 1080P res gaming, regardless you should be fine on Win7 for DA-I gaming.

I use an xbox360 controller for just about everything but shooters. For DAI, I plan on trying both controller and keyboard, and seeing what I feel is more intuitive.I hope you use mouse and keyboard for DA:I gaming
,not seen any PC gamers that use controllers unless it's for racing games etc...
Edit: as for your OP, my rig is 2 years old and could use a gpu upgrade, but meh, what I have is good enough. I did buy a new TV to hook it up to, though.

Have to played battle field on your current build? What frame rates are you getting on medium settings? Seems to be the knocked around benchmark suite.

Bought a PS4 specifically because I await the inevitable Tales of games and Persona games that will be coming out on it down the pipeline, as well as the new Uncharted/any other Naughty Dog titles. The benefit is that I will be able to play both Inquisition and the Witcher 3 on something that doesn't sound like a lawnmower when you turn it on, unlike my old, white, fat Xbox 360 ![]()

Got an SSD (though, this seems to be a "general" thing.
I'm thinking of getting a "gaming" keyboard and "gaming" mouse since mine are kinda starting to die.

Grabbing the Clacier-White Destiny Bundle in September, I've managed to get the savings for it over the last few months earning a few extra bucks on the side every day. If it wasn't for Inquisition a month after, and The Witcher 3 in Feb (Which despite my critical take on the series I still look forward to) I wouldn't invest in a PS4 and instead just keep going with my savings until later next year for a new PC. I typically have cut autumn-winter hours, and being without something to do would drive me insane. If I didn't need to entirely rebuild my PC experience (OS, Monitor and HUI devices) I would have been able to make enough for a PC upgrade before the autumn lull begins.

Bought a PS4 a few months back. Not for DAI though. Plan to build a new PC from the ground up for that and Witcher 3. Looking for a new monitor too. Hoping to see a deal on BenQ XL2411Z, ASUS VG248QE, Eizo Foris FG2421, Nixeus Vue 27, RoG Swift, ASUS PB287Q monitors between now and October. Really want a G-Sync monitor but they seem to be extremely limited on choice right now.

I was planning on purchasing the XBox One for Dragon Age Inquisition, but when my dad heard he went and got me one for Christmas. So technically I spent nothing.
