I got this: http://www.amazon.co...#productDetails ^^ DAI was the tipping point, not the sole reason. I asked a tech savvy friend to find me something that could play Battlefield 4 at half settings or whatever. And he did. ^^

Playstation 4 :)   That 1080p 60FPS Lock on all Naughty Dogs Future Games B)   I hope Dragon Age is at least 1080p 30FPS Lock on PS4 .   60FPS would be great, but not need.

Nothing so far, I am waiting on the PC requirements before deciding which platform I'd be interested in. At the moment I have a PC that could probably just about run it on the lowest settings and a PS3. I am somewhat torn between getting a new PC or a PS4.

Not specifically for Inquisition, but it's the next "current gen" game coming out that I am interested in and neither of my current gaming options will be good enough (the PS3 version is almost certainly going to be the worst option out of them all).

Good thing about PC is you can change just one component ie video card and that can make a big difference to new modern games,so its  strengths is  with upgrade ability.

Now all I've left  to decide is  with what food and drinks to stock up with for my DA-I gaming lol....

Will an R9 290 bottle neck on a quad core cpu?  I'm at 1080p, 1920 x 1080

Ghosts is last gen game. I hope they can hit 1080p 60 FPs with it! Anyway, if they get the Xbone to hit 1080p 60 FPs in Doom, that means dumbed down graphics.

I don't really care whether it's dumbed down graphics or not. I was just responding to someone saying 1080p or 60 fps was impossible on console, which is wrong. If he had simply said it will run better on PC I'd have had no reason to respond.

I hadn't planned on upgrading but my GTX 460 SE felt otherwise when it commit seppuku (the fan died). So I just bought an AMD Radeon HD 6970 2GB card. Probably won't be able to run the game on high settings but I'll be happy enough if it runs at all, considering my somewhat antiquated CPU (Q6600 quad core).

I don't think I need to update anything. My Acer PC has according to the System Requirements for BF4 which runs the frostbite  engine enough to play DAI....seeing as some folks said they think DAI will be less demanding than BF4.

And I am playing Skyrim on High settings with no problems....and yes I know it isn't frostbite engine.

I'd love to but I got no space (or money) for a gaming rig :<

But my laptop is fairly new so I guess it should count, not sure how well will it run DA:I tho (assuming it even runs it) (which makes me cry actually), it's a lenovo g510

I'm definitely ordering a new video card before Inquisition comes out. Right now I've got a GTX 550Ti, along with a 6 Core AMD processor, 8GB of RAM and a 1.5TB HD. I was looking at nVidia's 600 or 700 line of PCI-e cards. I'm hoping there's some good back to school sales in August and September so I can snag one from Newegg or Microcenter.

Don't worry about it, the Master Chief Collection was confirmed to run 1080p 60fps on Xbox One;if that can happen, Inquisition should hopefully have nothing to worry about whether its on 360, PS3, X1, PS4, or PC. Though obviously its the latter three that matter insofar as new hardware goes.

Don't know what your budget is, but NewEgg has a GTX 750Ti available now for $120 (after discounts and a mail-in rebate). You can find links to other good deals through a site called slickdeals.net. It's a big collection of user-posted links to websites, such as newegg, with deals they've found. You might want to check it out. It's how I got my Radeon HD 6970 for $99 instead of $170.

Additional Ram will allow me to play DAI in at least medium setting.

I wanted to get the Xbone anyway, and got it in May, but might not have got it just yet if it hadn't been for DAI coming out. There isn't anything else out yet I particularly want to play yet (for PS4 either) , and I've still got a big to-play pile on my 360 - but I wanted to be sure I had it in time for DAI. :)

That "two free games" offer (100 dollar value game ticket) is a bit misleading. There is a small set of games you get to choose from, not just any game you desire, and most of them are a bit older now. Plus, combined, none of them are worth $100. You'd probably pay maybe $20 or $30 for them total during a Steam sale event.

The games to choose from are listed here, under the "silver reward" option: http://www.amd4u.com/radeonrewards/

Specially in this case, as the game engine uses mantle on AMD cards, so your CPU will be less bogged down than when running DX 11.

Nope, I am done with AMD video cards. I've had too many problems with them and none of those games appeal to me. Thanks anyway

That post about the free games was in response to Osena109. My point was that it's not as good a deal as they try to make it sound.

Ordered new components yesterday, because next week is the last week until release, where I will not have to work.

Intel Xeon E3 with 4 x 3,40Ghz, 16 GB Ram, ATI R9 290 with 4GB, Samsung 840 EVO with 250 GB and a MSI H97 mobo

Hope it will be enough to play Inquisition and also Witcher 3 with max details.

Quad core what? If AMD... Possibly, as they design around more cores at lower speed. If Intel, then no, as while they do have products with more cores, their main line is quad cores at higher speed.

Either way, it won't be the R9 290 holding you back at the resolution.
