How many DA Games should Bioware make? How should it end?

I think that the Dragon Age World is very rich and they should make many games

It isn't restricted to one protagonist (like the ME series so far or The Witcher Series)

There are still many places we as the players haven't seen yet like Nevarra, Anderfels, Tevinter ...

I don't know how many games Bioware has planned

A good way to end the series would probably be if the Dragon Age ends and another Age begins

What do you think?

why it should end? if setting is healthy and sell itself well, and if developers have ideas about what to do next?

The world is much too large for it to end any time soon, and I couldn't even hazard a guess to how things will be a few years down the line, let alone how it will end!

The show must go on!

I think they could keep going indefinitely.

Dragon Age isn't Mass Effect. There isn't one over arching story. There isn't a major metaplot.

So long as each game can function well enough as a stand alone title, the only limit is how many stories they can think to tell in this setting they've crafted.

If future games are anything like the first two, I'll buy them for as long as they keep selling. And I hope that's a long time to come.

To be honest i quickly lose interest in series where status quo is god (as far 2 games 3 if we count daa and nothing has changed in-universe) or tortures me with same themes over and over.At beginning it was good but now im not so sure i will have to play in dai and jugde if series go in direction that i will appreciate. So pretty much series will go for while if dai will be successful but if it will as i said beat same themes peoples will get bored.

The most powerful religion in the world is crumbling, the most powerful nation in the world is tearing itself apart, and the very fabric of reality has a hole in it.

Nope, nothing's changing at all.

It should never end. And if it does, I hope they start a new fantasy series because that is what they do best - it's my fave type of RPG to play and I love them dearly.

Well those are temporary problems same thing was in dao blight world destructive event spend time and effort to improve ferelden well to the end everything was seemed go in better direction then da 2 showed in fact little has changed. So well as i said pretty much everything can go back where it started in dai.

So you've attained the future seeing powers you claim Flemeth has, then?

Let's say we do solve all three out of the Chantry/Mage, Orlesian civil war, and fade tear problems- only that last one is really guaranteed, I think, but we'll probably get all three.

There's nothing to say that all of or even any of the solutions we find for those issues are going to reset the status quo. They could well dramatically alter it.

I like for them to continue to make DA games. And since I enjoyed both DAO and DA2 and DAI looks very good, I see no reason for Bioware to stop making DA games

I always thought it would be interesting if Dragon Age series went the Fable route and jumped to the future. A sort of industrial revolution/steam punk setting in the Dragon Age world would be interesting, in my opinion.

However i'd always wished a game series would do this:

First few games, fantasy games with swords, dragons, kingdoms etc

Next few games, Steampunk style in the same universe/world

After those games, Cyberpunk style in the same universe/world

The last few games: Space colonization/fighting off new alien threats

I just always thought it would be cool to see one game franchise switch from different genres as the years go by all while increasing the timeline in the game universe.

I think the DA franchise has the potential to live on indefinitely, it all relies on how creative and clever the writers and developers are to continue generating interest in the game world.

We've only played around in a few small areas of the world.  We know Ferelden, *one* city-state of many in Free Marches (Kirkwall), and some of Orlais.  That's it.  There is so much more available left to explore upon this one continent.  And this is just *one* continent among who knows how many landmasses/continents that decorate the planet in which all of this takes place.  Apart from that, you also have the timeline to explore as well.  Time also changes many factors.  A DA game set 1000 years in the future is not going to be the same world, and there will be many, many different things to explore.  So on and so forth.
