Yep. Dragon age will end with Dragon age. At least 5X more years to go.

OR we can destroy the Chantry and there won't be anyone to proclaim a new age... except for some tyrant, who will conquer most of the Thedas

It should end in the exact same way the Abhorsen trilogy does.  With the entire cast holding hands in a gigantic circle of magical friendship in a desperate last stand against Flemeth.  And then the Mabari bites off Morrigan's hand at the last second to save the day. 

 

....Please tell me someone remembers those books.

It shall never end! It should evolve until it's set into the distant future and Thedas becomes an intergalactic conglomerate, where magic makes technology and technology enhances magic and some mad scientist is stupid enough to use ancient dragon DNA to make a dragon-human hybrid which ticks off the intelligent speaking civilization of dragons living on their own world and the Qunari still roam Thedas trying to decide if and when very one else needs to have "purpose" brought to their lives and dwarves are the last to try leaving the planet but soon set up mining colonies everywhere and are the only ones who can extract a special space mineral from certain rocks and no one can buy any of the space mined mineral without the Dwarves say-so which can be done at any of the thousands of shops they run in space ports across the galaxy and the Chantry has a cathedral in space and it's so large you can see it in the night sky from the Old Thedas planet. DA will endure... For ages...! Muahahahaha!


*ahem* Ok. I'm over that now. To be serious, I dunno how long it should run or how should end. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Why? - Not everything has to end (at least not soon...this world is big enough for 20 games (plus books etc.) and if they do it right, it will not get boring or repetitive!)
