Hmm, probably Iron Bull if I had to guess right now just cuz he looked interesting in what little we've seen of him so far. I totally want to romance him as a dwarf for lols, hehehe. I can't believe they made that possible! Big thanks to the peeps that put in all the extra time to make him non race gated! ![]()

Blackwall, sword and board style.

Hmm, probably either Blackwall or Iron Bull. They both seem like pretty fun guys.

Man these are some great designs... anyway, I'm not going to pick just one. After seeing all the characters now, I think I'll regularly switch it up and use everyone in the game (barring unforseen personality issues). Even Iron Bull looks appealing and I didn't think I'd be too interested in him.

I'll take them all, not at once but over multiple playthroughs. Cass will be in my first playthrough for sure. I'm not completely warmed up to Blackwall yet since I feel I don't know enough about him that I find especially intriguing.

So for the warriors here are the results:
Cassandra 42 picks 56.7%
Iron Bull 21 picks 28.4%
Blackwall 11 picks 14.9%
So what do people think? Expected or surprised?

I thought I'd do a tally and see who came out on too, I only included those who gave a firm answer to one character, those who said two or more or said they intended to rotate I excluded.

I expected Blackwall last as we don't really know all that much about him.

I picked Blackwall because I like his righteous attitude. That evil needs to be destroyed regardless of your faction. We will get along just swell.

Think I will mostly use Cassandra.

Would like Cassandra but mostly undecided on who I'll stick with until I see specializations.

Probably all of them because the other classes' characters are a bit lame.

Cassandra. Always.

So far I'm liking the Iron Bull mainly because his fighting animations are amazing to look at. I don't know anything about Blackwall and Cass has always been a hit or miss for me. I was never interested in her that much.

Depend on who I like talking to more, but currently I think it'll be Iron Bull. Possibly Blackwall.

This is why a four-person party cap is the bane of my existence. I'm going to love seeing how the Iron Bull interacts with... well, everyone, but I also want Cassandra out in the field. Problem is, two warriors and the mandatory rogue leaves no room for Dorian. ![]()
When push comes to shove, though, I'll probably go for the Iron Bull. DA2 did some serious damage to the Qunari, and I'm all about getting them their respect back.

I had been very intrigued by the concept of Iron Bull, but then that video hit... There was a strangeness about some of the writing. Sten and the Arishok had a very sober, solemn, ultra-serious way of social interaction and I figured that Iron Bull might be played as a hulking, brooding version of Oghren. The way they have him say "weird-ass" felt like a total polar opposite to that, though. Not a word which feels right coming from a qunari's vocabulary. More like a term they'd see as beneath them.
The repetition of 'crap' made me wonder if it's going to be like 'tech' was in 'Mass Effect', too, where every single character (Xen, included) seemed physically incapable of saying the word 'technology'. ![]()
I'm hoping these things turn out to be relatively trivial, but couldn't help noticing them and wondered if they're indicative of the character's banter, as a whole - which tends to be half the fun of taking a character in a party with you.

Non of them. I'm the warrior of the party.

None of them. I will also not choose a mage, nor a thief/ranger. I will have them all killed. No exceptions. Unless there's a dog. I will spare the dog.
