I just watched the Gameplay video that was shown on IGN live andI really hope the UI for pc will be made separately and really made for mouse and keyboard.

The UI is perfectly fine for easy action gameplay but I think that on higher difficulty levels and people more strategy oriented would wish for a more informative and centered UI.

PC has always been home to Strategy games, from Grand Strategy to RTS and older Bioware RPGs mostly required strategy, Dragon Age origins required strategy even for normal difficulty.

Dragon Age Origins had a fantastic PC interface but the instead the Console version was pretty clumsy, now I'm afraid it's going to be the opposite situation, Dragon Age 2 PC UI left things to be desired.

And I'm sure there are strategic Dragon Age fans on console that would wish for a more informative and tactical UI.

EDIT: And please add tooltips on mouse over.

Fear not, there will be a Keyboard & mouse specific UI.

Detailed tooltips. There was a good mod for that with DAO, and I found it vital.

I want to know the formula used to calculate damage for my characters' abilities.

Agreed, but I'd really love to see the formulas used to calculate enemy abilities.  I'm replaying DAO and those enemy archers that can scattershot every other attack with endless stamina and no cooldown are driving me up a wall.
