My personal favorite is the Dalish Elves being granted land in Ferelden. Hoping that the land can serve as a new Dales in future games. Didn't notice a big difference in DA2. But I'm hoping in Inquisition it will play a part. It's hard to remember the other boon choices for other origins right now but I know you all have one that made you really feel you made an impact.

Well first of all Alistair doesn't always grant the boon-in all my playthrough it's Anora.

Teyrn of Gwaren, I suppose.I'd like to see what they do with that.

I like the Dalish getting land as well. I've had the ending give them land even when I wasn't a Dalish Elf asking for that boon, not sure if that's a bug. I always found the Dalish troops extremely useful during the siege of Denerim, and they fought and died to protect people who often feared and hated them. It felt good to see them earn a new home.

I've always had the Dalish get lands in all my endings regardless of origin.  Don't think it's a bug, I think it's a given.  It just has more impact on a Mahariel than say, a Brosca.

My favorite boon is either Chancellor (on my mage) or Teryn(a) of Gwaren (since it's usually Anora running the country).

Gwaren - as I just posted in Loghain: live or die - that gives us Gwaren in the southeast; Redcliffe in the southwest; Highever in the northwest and Denerim in the northeast. Misbehaviour can be dealt with swiftly. ;)

My favorite is the Bann of the Denerim Alienage boon granted to City Elves.

I don't know which boon will have the most impact in future games, but I stand by that one. Elves can be nobles and self-govern too, darn it.

Most boons get dismissed by the plot for what we saw. Mages are denied independance, Dalish get crappy lands, the ones that seem to have any real impact seems to be an dwarf asking for aid to Orzammar or an Cousland asking for reparations towards the Howe's (this one is made canon in Awakening).

My Cousland always asks for reparations and I'm glad it's done in Awakening. My Mages ask to be Chancellor.

I always go for the Warden remembrance for my Cousland.

If Alistair is king then I think that some boons would be automatic - such as Highever restored (if noble), wardens remembered, lands for the Dalish, more representation for the Alienage, and changes to the circle. Anora is never, ever queen so wouldn't know about her.

I only reason I would put Anora on the throne is if I was marrying her as a Male Human Noble or if I wanted the circle freedom boon to flag properly.

I usually put a hardened Alistair on the throne with a Cousland queen or Amell mistress. I choose chancellor in both of these playthroughs. I like to think that my Amell Warden is like Vivienne in that many people think of her as a court jester before she proves herself to be politically savvy.

I leave her on the throne more than Alistair (since she wants it so damn bad and he doesn't) and the endings are the same in regards to the various 'boons'.  The circle autonomy only flags properly if she's Queen, in fact.  Though as we see, that has little impact on the world state as it's still not free in DA2.  Alistair making an elf advisor is the only thing he does that she doesn't do.  Otherwise everything else in regards to surface boons plays out: the Dalish get land, the Wardens are remembered and given Amaranthine (thus the Howe's are punished for his actions in the war).  Since the king/queen of Ferelden's chief concerns are Ferelden, the dwarf boon only happens if the warden is a dwarf.  And the City Elves don't get a bann from either ruler unless the CE is the Warden.  Even then that boon has horrible implications in that every one of the choices for bann dies horribly.

Merrill only mentions it to King Alistair in the second game if the Warden was Dalish.
