Varric and Cole...But mostly Cole 'cause I want to learn what he is

What do you mean what rogue? All rogue party all the way!
The real question is, should the inquisitor use daggers, to even the party out, or cross-/bow and leave poor Cole to play meatshield for the ranged rogues?

This just made me realize that I seriously dislike all the rogues in DA:I. Still, I'm going to be constantly swapping my party around, but if I had to choose one rogue to use, it'd be Sera just for the reason that I know nothing about her.

Not thought about this before. A party of 4 thieves, that would be interesting. What do you mean what rogue? All rogue party all the way!

Boss battles will be difficult for me, though I can for see a lot of sneaking around

Mostly Cole but I will switch him out from time to time for Varric or Sera! ![]()

Could possibly turn one of the rogues into an evasion tank. Level up dex so he's more agile and dodges attacks, and level up constitution so he has a larger HP pool. Also teach him/her moves that lower hit chance and increase evasion. I can see it working.

Varric and Cole.
Sera will continue to remain at the keep...

On first playthrough, a mix of all. However, I probably rank them Varric, Sera and Cole in order of interest right now. I liked Varric, and I'm glad to see an encore. Sera seems amusing. And Cole might have some cool banter with Solas.

Lol. I can imagine her running off with the valuables from your keep or burning your keep

I tend to leave space for at least one healer / mage just incase I run out of health poultice. A party of 4 thieves even with a tank thief will be like playing on hard mode. Given health does not regenerate in DAI

Varric and Cole.
Varric as the ranged rogue, Cole as the up-close-and personal rogue. Varric as the scoundrel + storyteller rogue, Cole as the naive child + killer rogue.
Sera does not do much for me. She is too impulsive for my taste when it comes to followers. She also hates Cole.

Varric and Sera.
The inquisition will be very boring for Cole.

Will definitely throw some Sera and sprinkle some Cole into the mix, but Varric is part of the main course.

All of the above, but Sera's my fave right now.

Straight of the bat: Varric!
But I am interested to learn more about Sera.
I'll tolerate Cole for one go, see how he is, but if hes anything like he was in Asunder (in other words: he annoyed the hell out of me with every paragraph he popped up in) then a lot of my Inquisitors won't know who in Thedas he is.

Cole and possibly Varric swap in from time to time.
Cole is going to be in my main party all the time because he's my favorite character in Dragon Age, lore wise he's ridiculously interesting to me, fighting wise he's interesting because he's one part sneak one part wtf kinda spell is that, I plan to have Solas as my mage so they work apparently really well, and so far what I have seen of him he's the sweetest personality wise and less likely to get into arguments (as I'm still recovering from the sass fight banters that was DAII)
Varric I may toss in from time to time depending if I feel like I need a ranger who is pretty much the dad of the group. There are many things I want to learn about him and find interesting, but he wont be in my team all the time.
Sera is getting benched. I have no interest in her what so ever, never been a fan of 'impulsive' characters that are sassy and whatever. When I heard her small banter with Iron Bull in the E3 video, and the other small lines you can hear of her there, it was that moment I went 'yup, yup. You're going to drive me up a wall.' I really dislike the type of character she has been presented personality wise, and I want as less fighting as you can get this time around in the party since there's such a massive goal, I have no need for personal opinions weakening the parties capabilities to work together.

Tied: Varric and Sera. My female Qunari is totally romancing Sera.

Cole, imo he seems like the most intriguing/interesting character, so much mystery behind him.

Well, I'm biased on this one. I actually know one of the characters here. I like Varric quite a bit, so it's not hard to see myself using him unless he's charged a bit since DA2.
