Why is Tatooine so frequently visited throughout Star Wars, even though it's only a worthless backwater desert world?

It's an iconic and core part of the setting.

Ferelden is the Land of Dogs and Heroes ® ™

Seriously: Andraste, Maferath, Dane, Hafter, Flemeth, Calenhad, Aldenon, Maric, Loghain, Morrigan, Alistair, the Warden, Hawke, and Dog

Fixed that for you.  :wizard:

I like the chance to go back... now time has passed, its pretty much the only appeal that return to ostagar had.

Hopefully a lot of the people from origins will still be around.

because Ferelden is awesome and I want to revisit it so that I can see my choices in DA:O have consequences (like in Redcliffe I imagine there will something regarding Bann teagan/connor/Isolde

And its also the most balanced country we have some radical magisters in tevinter some crazy crows in Antiva ...

We are going to Orlais as well , plus it won't be all the same spots we were in before in Ferelden.

Its not star wars without Tatooine , plus brings back good memories of old SWG and you starting on this back-water , criminal infested planet as nothing but some shmuck with basic clothes and a crappy blaster and a knife to help you at the start.

It's probably for at least partly pragmatic reasons. Ferelden is the only country that has been fleshed out to some extent, though Orlais has been receiving some attention lately. There are a number of assets (some unused) and locations, as well as plenty of lore, that are already available. DA:I is a big game, but the amount of work can be kept under control if a lot is already available or has been worked out to some extent.

Just a guess here... but I imagine that since part of the draw of the Dragon Age series is seeing the consequences of decisions you've made in past games, returning to Ferelden where your Warden had a direct impact on the land and people is a perfect opportunity to indulge in that.

So... Will we also return to Kirkwall? I wanna see how my Hawke fixed a ruinous situation before heading out.

The better question is... "Why not?"

And why would that be?

I mean, I have no real problem with it (I can live with it), but there's so much more to see (Tevinter, Nevarra, Par Vollen, Seheron, The Anderfells etc.), so no, the question is as stated:

Why are we in Ferelden - again? (The problem with it is, that it has been in every game so far (the first was Ferelden only, the second one began there (ok, that was just a short part, but still)...I would have less trouble with it, if the last game had not involved it at all, or if we hadn't seen the country in some time (2 games and more))

Unfortunately, they've already stated we won't be going to the Free Marches.

relax brewski, I was trolling.

But i think ferelden fits I mean it's what we know, and we are going to Orlais so, i don't think we're cut off from anything.

Our party memebers should fill the gap of what our neighbouring countries are like Cass - Nevarra, Dorian - Tevinter

Right...

But getting second or third hand retellings/news is not the same as actually going there, is it?

I'm glad that the human inquisitor isn't from Ferelden. After Inquisiton, I really hope Ferelden doesn't take center stage again.
