EA has a promotion with Dr Pepper to bring unique downloadable items if you purchase some soda. Games that get extra items includes Sims 3, Spore, Battlefield Heroes, and on January 26th, Mass Effect 2.
Every soda wins.
Each of the items cost one code. You can choose which helmet (or visor) you unlock.
Codes are universal. Work on PC or 360
When you put in the code, it will also ask for what kind of bottle it is, where you got it, and what flavor. Beyond that, it doesn't ask anything else.
The items you gain through this for Mass Effect 2 are two helmets and a visor. No one knows what they look like yet. They won't have any Dr Pepper logo's on them though. Unfortunately.
In order to gain these prizes, just purchase the correct Dr Pepper (has an EA logo on it, hard to miss) from local grocery stores or gas stations. Depending on the area you live in you might have to wait longer before your stores are stocked with the correct soda. Look under the cap for the code, and then go to www.drpepper.com . Click on the EA promotion, create/sign in to drpepper.com account, enter code, and bam. This gives you a credit to cash in for a prize of your choice. You can cash in the credit now to see the prizes, but Mass Effect 2 will not be available until January 26th (when the game comes out). If you cash in the credit, go to the EA promotion on drpepper.com, login, and then click Code History. This will allow you to return to the prize selection page (assuming you didn't select something already).
EXTRA NOTE! Due to the 'No purchase Necessary' in the promotion's rules, if you call, e-mail, or mail Dr Pepper they will send you a code for free. If you are unable to find the correct sodas in your area I'd suggest you do this. This only applies to American residents. If your out of the country, your SOL unless someone gives you a code (although this isn't permitted through the Terms of Agreement for the promotion).
I think that's everything.
