Two or three playthroughs. I want to change classes, race and gender with the additional playthroughs to explore the differences, as well as see what alternate choices can bring.
How many Inquisitors/Playthroughs are you planning?

If ME3 taught me anything is the best laid plans... that game was supposed to take me through at least the summer after I bought it. I played through twice put it down for a year because it was such a let down played a third time with citadel DLC before putting it away for good. The plan was to play contentedly with 10-12 playthrus like I did with ME1 and 2. So I am going into this game with no preconceptions. I will play it as long as it is fun. The expectation is at least once.

I'm definitely planning my first playthrough to be with a male qunari sword and board warrior.
I'm expecting that my second playthrough will probably be with a male dwarf two-handed warrior.
If Vivienne is a f/f romance, then my third playthrough will probably be with a female dwarf (or qunari, depending on who Viv is gated against) dual wield rogue.
If I'm feeling like I want to try out the magic system, then my third playthrough will likely be a male qunari healing spec'd mage.
After this, if I do any additional playthroughs, it will likely be with whatever I decide to be my "canon" choices (most likely a male qunari warrior).

I'll keep playing and re-playing until I lose interest.
Then I'll pick up interest again and keep playing, probably

22 at most. One for every race/gender/class combo.
After that, if I'm still interested in playing DA:I, it's because DA:4 is coming out soon.
More likely I'll tap out at about 15.

Depends on how much I like it! If I love it as much as DA:O or ME2 I will probably finish it around 30 times ![]()

I predict it'll be five playthrough at minimum, but I probably keep playing this until I lose interest or until there are no more content to explore no new dlc to play.

I'll probably do 3 in a row when it first comes out. Then pick it up again and do one every 4 or 5 months for the next few years. (And one every time a big DLC or expansion drops)
in the end I'll probably play it in the double of digits.

If it has 100 hours worth of content in one playthrough I'll be lucky to finish once with my current habits.
I don't go crazy with one game like I used to and I get tired of tedious repetition and "open world exploration" pretty quickly.

Three, one for each non-human race and class. Right now, it's looking like:
Dwarf Archer.
Elf Warrior or Mage.
Vashoth Mage or Warrior.

I never plan a final number, but at least several of each race, at least getting there in the holidays.

Thinking like that, too, OP. Nine - one for each spec. It works out conveniently that it also allows me to see all the romance content (including a playthrough with none at all). The double will probably be a dwarf.
In truth, it could be anything. Four (one each race), and then a couple years later I feel nostalgic and do a fifth... or I might go nuts and end up doing 20 over a couple years. I can't say, really depends on how it turns out.
Also would start out way more than I ever finish. I only ever finished DAO maybe five times? Started it a heckuva lot more. Similar numbers with DAII.

At Least 4. That way I can experience all the voices

Originally I was planning 8, one for each race/gender combo.
Holy crap!
I played through DA:O twice and DA2 once, and I really liked both those games. I just don't see the draw in replaying using other characters with minimal changes to the storyline. If DA:I is really, really good I'll probably give it a couple goes. Otherwise, just one.
I need to really be into a universe to play more than that; like the Mass Effect universe (ME = 4 times, ME2 = 7 times, ME3 = 3 times). I just have never been that attached to the Dragon Age lore. Maybe that'll change this time.

3-4 myself.

I only have one Origins character, so I only have 1 Hawke so I'll only have 1 Inquisitor because I like every character to have something different.
So the answer to the question: It depends on how lazy I'll be. ![]()

Let's count it out:
1. My cannon Inquisitor. Male human mage romancing Cassandra. This one will get replayed at least once after all DLC is out and I have all the Meta knowledge I need to get it the way I want. A very Paragon playthrough, in the Mass Effect sense; lawful good in D&D terms. Will go a diplomacy/military route, but will favor diplomacy over military/intimidation options.
2. Female Qunari mage romancing Sera. A Chaotic good, Robinhood-esque type character. The Warden in this world state will have romanced Morrigan, and gone through the mirror with her.
3. Male Qunari warrior romancing Scribbles, Probably a sword and board tank.
4. Female elf rogue romancing Iron Bull. Will be looking out for #1, but not being an ******* about it (imagine if Han Solo had stuck around in Episode 4 in exchange for more money, instead of leaving and then coming back in the nick of time).
5. A human, non-mage to gauge the way people react diiferently to mages and non-humans. If Celene is the non-party, non-advisor romance (and available to humans) Iwill definitely romance her, probably exclusively.
6. A play trough to romance Celene if #5 couldn't.
Maybe more will come, but those are the ones I really want to do.
