Somewhere in between, I don't need to find every collectible, but I'll try to get all the companions and do their quests. Do most of the side quests. etc.

I do everything (all side-quests, activities, play more than once, etc), and get and read all the codex entries like the big dork I am, but I'm not concerned with trophies or achievements, so collectables like weapons/armor/materials really aren't interesting to me.

I will always do everything I can. I won't always find every quest/collectable item/etc, though, but that's okay.

I'll try to do the stuff it makes sense for my character to do, and not the stuff it doesn't make sense for my character to do.

I'm always completionist. Even on my second or (beware) third Playtroughs. It's a Sickness.

I'm paying 70 bucks for this game, I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

I am a completionist, not a perfectionist.Psychonauts taught me there's a difference.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Gave up trying to read codex in the game since DAO, the menu made that difficult.
This time first playthrough Im going to play completionist.

My first one will be completionist, but a second or third will not be. I may even skip sidequests then if I found them too boring, like in DA:II where I limited myself to the main plot.

My playstyle is more "magpie" style, as in "pounce on every shiny thing"! I'm an achievement hunter too, but I save that for later playthroughs.

I always try to get every collectible and every side quest in games.

I anticipate spending a good long time finding all the codex entries, side quests, etc. in many playthroughs. I'm still finding stuff in the other games. So, I'll play as in-depth as I can and not worry about missing stuff because I can collect it next time. I think my first time through DAO I missed the burning alienage entirely and still enjoyed the last battle sequence.

So do I. But getting every collectible also depends on how you play the game. Take the Runner's Retort or the Armor of Enasalin in DA 2, you get them only by taking specific decisions. Also it isn't possible (not for me, anyway) to complete every side quest on the first playthrough.
If getting an awesome weapon means making my "paragon" character make a "renegade" choice, I won't do it (and vice versa).

I usually try to complete everything but if I don't I'm not broken up over it.

Depends on how much I'm enjoying the game. If it's really fun, I do everything I can. If not so much, I hoof it to the endgame.

I don't actively search everything out, but once I know it's there I have to do it. So my completionist tendencies tend to get worse with each replay.

In a game full of options, I mostly stick to just doing stuff I find fun or interesting.

First playthrough is not completionist, 2nd and certainly 3rd will be.
