I try and do all the quests (except fetch and collect quests) and explore everywhere at least once and exhaust the dialogue options but there is simply no way I'm putting hours into running around the map looking for the last mushroom or ore vein or whatever.
Completing the game: "It's good enough" or perfectionist?

Considering this game apparently has branching paths that change what is or isn't available as the story progresses, will there be a perfect run? It seems like it'll be a very subjective issue at least.
For me I just want the best possible outcome story wise, not too concerned if I miss a few items here and there, but I hope I get the ones that matter.

Very much completionist, I like to do every possible sidequest, collect every item/codex if possible, and of course get all companions/achievements... except if too troublesome or nasty playwise (like getting "secrect companion" in DAO - only one Warden did it, and most of my Wardens didn't do Crows- questline for story reasons. And siding with templars & werewolves is just so... against my own character. And didn't even grant a class like defiling Sacred Ashes. Guess I should try to play once "evil" playthrough).
But I am completionist enough to do stuff which would probaply bore most, like playing with same Shepard 3 times just to level up to 60 & get achievement in ME1. ![]()
In DAI, I probaply will spend a lot of time crafting, collecting and doing sidequests. ![]()

I'll do and try everything I can find but I won't go out of my way to spend hours checking if I have done every little bit. Once I know my choices I will try for a perfectionist run.

I plan to do everything, so yes.

My first playthrough I expect to miss a lot...as I will be as ignorant as to what I'm doing as my PC...lol That said, I will collect every codex I run across, am a total packrat when it comes to crafting materials, do all the quests that come up, side jobs (eg chanter's board). My second, I will be much more knowledgeable and therefore, probably god mod a bit, even as I try to avoid it. Achieveables are fun - I like it when I get them on accident (mail slot anyone?). I will never be able to get them all, I can't imagine under any circumstances killing anyone but myself on Nightmare ![]()

I lean pretty hard toward perfectionist. It doesn't have to be 100% on EVERYTHING, but all the stuff I consider important. Best possible outcome is a must.

Completionist! I need to get every item, trophy/achievement, etc.

You know, when I first answered this I didn't account for the open world. In that type of game, once I reach the level cap it's time to wrap things up, no matter what else is going on out there. I really do not like fighting endless waves of mooks without getting any stronger, and with a level 25-30 cap, I'm afraid that might happen long before I explore the whole world.

I have 100% completion in Dragon Age Origins and part 2. Like that fellow posting his gamer score.
Addendum: Minus Ander's romance, just... just couldn't do it.

Definitely a completionist here. Even on subsequent playthroughs I always complete every quest and listen to all the dialog I can.

I try to go for a completionist game, but I also don't drive myself crazy either. I try to let one or two quests go if they aren't worth the trouble and/or bugged.

First play through, I am fully engrossed in the story. I forget about mostly everything and basically its a race to the finish. To find out what the hell happens. Second one, not so much. Second one takes the longest.
I don't do all the achievements, but like 95%. More interested in finding every last banter, every possible ending. Seeing how my choices affect the people.

On my first playthrough, I'll likely do what I feel interests me most. In subsequent playthroughs, I know I'm going to try and be a perfectionist. Heck, sometimes I redo the battle of Redcliff in Origins time and again JUST to get the helm for having no one die fighting the undead.

I'm a completionist, and I'll try to do everything even on my first playthrough but I also don't push myself too hard on complete everything. If there are one or two quest that's bugged or not worth the trouble I'll just let it slide.

yeah.. I start off trying to do everything I can, But then,... I get too caught up in the story and I forget about side quests...

If there is an achievement for it I'll do it. I'll probably also collect the entire codex at least once, just to hog up on as much lore as possible. I will complete every quest possible in all my playthroughs aswell probably.

I *try* to do everything I can but I definitely don't stress about it too much. The little story related side missions I do my bet to get done, but the little meaningless fetch quests I'll sometimes leave them to the side if they get a little too boring.

I try to do and collect everything, but it doesn't usually and probably won't happen.

Not completionist but at least 80% of the game.
