Taste?
I don't want to eat them
- I want them to fight (taking bites out of them does not seem very appropriate
)

*pondering*.
Now I'm wondering about side dishes and matching drinks...
Vivienne: A delicate, fruity white wine to complement the flavour, with a nice chiffonade salad.
Cole: Fried peppers and a hard-kicking whisky to mask the flavour.
Blackwall: A nice, bitter imperial stout with a potato gratin. The heavy side dish will keep the tainted meat down.
Ironbull: A full-bodied red, Burgundy or Bordeaux, with baked potatoes. Nice hearty meal.
Sera: A lager with coleslaw. Barbecue style.
Solas: Dry red wine, meat served on toast with chestnut puree.
Dorian: Rose petal salad and sparkling wine.
Cullen: Dry white and sauteed mushrooms.
Leliana: A sweet red and curly fries.
Varric: Red ale and carrot slaw.
Cassandra: Lager and sauerkraut. Classic selection
Josephine: With fava beans and a nice chianti.

Though I won't deny it, I love it. But I can't give an opinion on who'd taste better. No eating companions for me. Well, maybe in another way Jose- nah I won't go there.

Do we have any evidence that Cole hydrates? Perhaps he tastes a bit like wind-dried meat. Honestly not too bad; a bit like licorice, if I remember correctly. (I probably do not)
Vivienne - Exquisite tasting. She's lived a life of ease and luxury while having access to healing magic. If she grew up in the Circle, she's had far less exposure to diseases and parasites than other companions. At the same time, she's fit enough to adventure, so she must have kept herself in shape.
Cullen - Lyrium. What does it do to the way someone tastes? Does it give him a chemical flavor? There's no way to know unless a developer weighs in.
Wouldn't Vivienne partake of even more lyrium than Cullen? Does magic get rid of a potentially distinctive lyrium aftertaste? Might magic not also have a noticeable effect on the way meat tastes? We really do need answers from Bioware to these questions, I suppose.

-gives in and checks my sanity at the door-
I can confirm that lyrium tastes like rock candy, and if you eat enough you see purple dragons. So eating Cullen would probably be the equivalent of taking a lot of acid. Eat responsibly.

Turn him into jerky for an extra kick.
