It bugged me that he never used a staff in the whole movie...but that little note aside I hope he is in the game. He was easily my favorite part of Dawn of the Seeker.

I didn't particularly like that particular companion quest. The setup didn't make much sense, and the awkwardness was a bit too much for me. But I did like that we did get to see Aveline move on from her deceased husband and find some genuine happiness between all of the tragedy that happened in DA2. So, out of curiosity, what is your objection to the concept?
Well for one I did not like his character even slightly from the movie and would honestly rather he not make an appearance at all, and also I was firmly in the camp of people who wanted to romance Cassandra as a woman, and having to do an entire quest dedicated to helping her hookup with a character I really dislike would be really unpleasant. I am not against her potentially hooking up with people/someone, just not with me playing match maker, and not that guy and his chin stripe and mullet, sweet Jesus.
