Chaotic good, because some laws in Thedas are likely crap.

My Inquisitor's alignment depends on what choices are actually offered in-game.

Well since I am a chaotic neutral, that is what my canon Inquisitor will be. ![]()

My Warden was around Neutral Good
My Hawke was True Neutral
My Inquisitor is probably going to end up as Chaotic Good

The D&D alignments are a lot broader than you describe OP. I myself am a Chaotic Evil person, and will try to roleplay one if possible, but it's not quite as you described it to be.
Personally this is the best description of Chaotic Evil I have come across:
Oh, right, please bear in mind that my definitions were subjective to what I think they mean... thanks for the explanation.

Lawful Neutral with Neutral Good tendencies.
Why not straight-up Lawful Good? Overall, I try not to be a dick, but sometimes pragmatism necessities actions that one might not consider "good" in and of themselves. I'm the type who thinks "people don't know what's good for them", but I'm also the type who believes in being nice for niceness' sake.
Bottom line, I think of myself as a nice guy, but "totalitarianism" is my political alignment.

I always veer toward chaotic good characters, I guess I just like stories with happy endings. Damn you, Bioshock: Infinite (especially Burial at Sea 1 & 2), damn you to hell. Bastards.
I do like to anti-hero characters as well, think Punisher and Raziel.

Most characters I roleplay end up on some varient of either Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, or Chaotic Neutral. Very, very rarely True Neutral too. So likely one of those for my dwarf first play - probably Chaotic Good.

I had a lot of fun playing a Renegon for my last character in ME (he was a hardass with a heart of gold - classic Chaotic Good archetype). I plan to RP a similar character for my first play through Inquisition.

I guess my alignment will be a mix of neutral good, chaotic good and chaotic neutral. Again, depends on who you ask.

From these descriptions, my Warden was Neutral Good and my Champion was Chaotic Good.
It looks like my Inquisitor will be classified as True Neutral, as long I can resist going the same way as the previous two. They may end up being swayed by companions and LIs to take a more NG and/or CG approach, though, or unless I just can't stop myself.

Female Dale elf rogue. Chaotic good/ Neutral evil. CG when the situation touches something she is passionate about (will hunt down and kill particulary vile individuals be they commoners or kings, wherever they choose to hide regardless if they are allies or not). NE the rest of the time, since she is either separated from her clan (or it is wiped out) and she absolutely will hate humanity at the beginning of the game and will not lift a finger to help them if there is no benefit to her or her people. Also, call her "knife-ears" and you can call yourself "no ears" very shortly after ![]()

My Inquisitor are not afraid of getting his hands dirty, and will do whatever necessary for the greater good.

Hard to say, because I'm not going to view my actions in the same light as an outside observer would. If labeled as promoting order or chaos and benevolence or indifference, how do you classify something like saving Branka and preserving the Anvil of the Void? On one hand you're fulfilling your promise and collecting a fantastic ally against the darkspawn, both promoting order and good. On the other, you are condoning the imprisonment of innocent souls, which is self-serving and evil.
I'll say true neutral.

I tend to play chaotic good characters - seems to be a lot of those in this thread. I think they're the most fun to play. I get to be the hero who saves people, but it gives me enough wiggle room to make decisions in the game that are 'interesting' as opposed to 'right,' as long as my character can justify it as somehow being for the greater good.

Chaotic good, with emphasis on chaotic. Being lawful is no fun, I prefer to follow my own rules.

My characters tend to be chaotic good. Ugh, I can't play evil, I'm too goody two-shoes. I would like my Inquisitor to be more neutral and not give a damn though.
