So I was wondering.....It appears many really enjoyed DAO and DAA, and looked forward to DAII. When DAII was released, many felt that the game was subpar, rushed, recycled, etc....A short time thereafter, Bioware, to their credit, admitted some things could have been better with DAII, and as such, has made the necessary improvements for DAI. Usually, I do not pre order a game, and instead wait a few weeks to get the general consensus to see if the game is worth it, though there have been exceptions. DAI will be one of them. It seems that Bioware is really trying with this one. Sure, it may not have everything I wanted, and I would like to keep my Warden going; but, this game does look interesting. They have opened it up, and said it will be better than DAII. The Inquisitior's edition looks amazing! Sadly, it is outside my price range; but, I was able to pre-order the deluxe edition. For $10 more than the standard edition, I thought it was worth it to support the company, and hopefully, if the game is good, and Bioware makes their numbers, their will be a DA4. Just wondering what everyone else was doing. Pre-ordering, waiting a bit, or putting it on their Christmas lists.

I've pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition. Dragon Age II was a slight disappointment for me but I still enjoyed it more than most games in 2011. The focus on story and characters with enjoyable gameplay is something very rare in games. Off the top of my head the only studios I trust to deliver on both the feels and the fun are BioWare, Naughty Dog, the Persona team, and Kojima Productions. Since those companies don't exactly have an Ubisoft release schedule I usually have the finances and the motivation to buy day one. And if I know I'm buying day one, I might as well preorder and get a few bonuses.

I preordered a copy for my PS4 and a copy for my friends XBOX1 and paid in full for both of them two months ago.  I always preorder DA and ME games despite what other people say about the games because these two game franchizes are my favorite.  And I dont let other peoples opinions form my own.

Depending on what I hear I may pick it up at Black Friday or Christmas, some site will have a digital download on sale around those times.

I want to buy the digital deluxe version, but it's so absurdly expensive in the UK on Origin. £60 for a PC game? (That's over $100)

Unfortunately, Origin seems to be the only way to get the pre-order bonuses in the UK...

Bioware is one of the few developers I still trust enough to pre-order their games.    Even then though I will likely wait until its about a month from release date to start considering it.

I certainly don't want to live through another X:Rebirth disappointment (which was also a developer I thought I could trust).   That one burned me out big time in the trust department.

In the end though, its Dragon Age.   As many hours as I put into Origins, I still owe Bioware a few games on trust.

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition through Origin as soon as I could. I'd prefer a physical copy but atleast this way I'll be able to start playing as early as I like on the 10th of Oct rather than having to wait for the morning post.

And as a bonus, I'll never have to change out of my pajamas like I would if I were going to collect it in store.

You're on the Bioware forum here. Most of the users are bioware fans.

In fact most of the users are bioware fans that have stayed here after DA 2 and ME 3.

So your not going to find many that haven't preordered the game.

I haven't. I had preordered DA 2 and that taught me a serious lesson.

I am here, because i am interessted in the game.

A lot of what they said and showed does sound like they learned from DA 2.

But it will still take quite some convincing before i preorder another bioware game.

Preorders are a great issue of trust and that's not really there anymore after they just plain out lied to their fans concerning ME 3.

Question. If we pre order on Origin do we get at exactly 12:00am Tuesday or does Origin have a specific update time like Xbox

I preordered my digital deluxe a few days ago! Im really stoked and I think I'm one of few people who hasn't been let down by a Bioware game. Sure DA2 could have been better than it was but I still thoroughly enjoyed it :)

As a receiver of generosity from a friend who bought him Titanfall earlier in the year and Assassin's Creed:Unity later this year, I'd like to tell you that you're awesome.

Cheers for generosity! I know what its like to receive games as gifts and it is top, so good on you for giving. :)

Oh yeah, and I do have Inquisition preordered for Xbox One.

No pre-ordering for me. Ususally when I pre-order, the games suck. So I don't want to pre-order and I don't want the potentially overpowered bonus items/mounts either. I did pre-order W3 but only because the large discount on GOG.

that and October/November tends to be when all of Dublin floods so I'd be very cold & went if I went out and about in my pajamas even if it were just a dash to the car :P

I generally try not to pre-order games. I generally wait for a Steam/Origin sale to buy any game at all. But, Bioware just tends to hit the right notes for me, so....Deluxe Edition it is.
