I've never pre-ordered a game in my life...until now. Even when they announced we were going to have to wait 6 more weeks, my enthusiasm has yet to abate: fewer bugs are always a good thing. I played DA:O on a 360, but will be playing on a PS4 for DA:I, which I will be purchasing the day before my game arrives. I get giddy just thinking about it.
How many are pre ordering the game?

Yeah, I'm referring to the console version. I looked at Amazon first, but they don't seem to sell the Deluxe version.
I like the additional in-game content, but what I really want is the included digital soundtrack. What I've heard so far has been impressive.
I purchased my Deluxe version from Amazon.ca. You can also find it at Amazon.com.

I've pre-ordered DA: I Deluxe Edition. Because of that awesome staff and mounts!

I'll preorder one of the digital versions once they announce what the remaining bonus content for the Deluxe edition will be.
The current set of armour, throne and mounts doesn't appeal to me at all, but you never know.

Currently my plan is to wait until the DLC exclusivity policy ends before picking it up which I am guessing will be a month after the initial games release. I am leaving my decision open to change however as time progresses and events take different twists and turns during it's development. I do not see myself pre-ordering anymore however and I doubt that will change. The game itself looks good but we are still in the marketing and propaganda phase of development, information released sparsely and in a corporate managed way so as such I am not too fussed in waiting month after release as at that time people will have played the final version themselves and I can also look at their reviews to see if the game is as good as it so far appears to be.

i stood on the cliff for months trying to decide.
I did enjoy both DA O and DA2. Both games were fun and the endings didn't make me want to drive off a bridge.
Didn't like the DR as the only way to get Alistair and Warden to survive in DAO, but they did give us Zev, plus after the ME3 endings, the DR actually looked pretty good.
I enjoy David G's writing style plus he gave us Carth fans, that very sweet story, so decided to trust in his ability to actually supply endings that go from depressing to hopeful. I jumped off the cliff and pre-ordered it. Hopefully there will be a lake at the bottom of the cliff and i don't go splat. ![]()
Guess I should indicate I ordered the deluxe one. The expensive one, I like the cards, but not worth the extra money to me.

I have preordered the PC Inquisitor's Edition, but I still don't know if I should cancel it or not. I have never bought a Collector's Edition before, and I have regretted it a gazillion times, so I thought this would be the game I'd get one for. But I'm not super excited about the contents of the CE, and the price is very high (at least 200 dollars here). The most disappointing thing is that it doesn't include the artbook. The Witcher 3's CE is what I would want from a super expensive special edition. The price is not yet final in my local Gamestop, and if it goes any higher I will cancel my order.

I preordered the Collectors Edition at Gamestop. I hardly enjoy doing business with Gamestop but I wanted to get the Uber Collectors Edition.
Funny thing is I played Dragon Age 2 without hearing all the negative responses and I found it to be very enjoyable. I mean the duplicate caves and mansions setups weren't that bad. But the story was very good and I can see how the end sets up the third game.

I preordered the Deluxe Edition from Amazon. I'm not a fan of Gamestop. Plus also preordered the Collector's Editon Guide and Inquisition Art book. I always love the artwork from these games. Even the book The World of Thedas Vol.1 has some amazing art in it.

Ended up pre-ordering, even though usually I wait for the sales, this game had me hyped up enough. I find it bit sad that though that I couldn't order physical PC Deluxe Edition due to my living in Europe, and I was way too poor for Collector's Edition. So it's just standard version for me. ![]()
I truly hope that all the nice things (like Red Hart Halla) that Deluxe Edition has will come up as DLC to buy separately. ![]()

Due to the delay putting the release to close to Thanksgiving and Christmas, so that I would hardly get any time with it, I cancelled my pre-order; but, I still may put it on my Christmas list, or pick it up after the New Year when I can get some time playing it.

I pre-ordered a few games in the past, and overall I don't think I've done any major mistake. All those games I've pre-ordered, I would end up buying anyway. Some of those games could have easily been purchased the week after release, or the month after release. But unless I wait for several months it won't make any difference in terms of price, so why not pre-order right away?
It took me years of gaming, but now I consider pre-ordering unethical from a customer perspective (from a publisher perspective it has always been unethical). Not only because you are paying for something you know little about and it has not been reviewed by a third party yet, and not even because of minor issues such as bonuses that favor specific retailers. I find it wrong for what pre-ordering actually is: a customer was earned by the marketing of the product, not the product itself.
I assume everyone here is a Bioware fanboy/girl, including myself, and pre-ordering their games is pretty much the norm. But I personally won't make exceptions because it is Bioware. I am eager to play DA:I, but I want to make sure that I pay for a well-crafted product rather than a well-marketed one. Thus I will wait the release.

Random addition here, I thought it was very considerate of Sony (I preordered the Deluxe Edition off the PSN for my PS4) to send me an email informing of the delay, even though I already knew of it. However, they also gave me an option to cancel my digital pre-order and offering me a full refund. Since Preordering off the PSN immediately causes a transaction, so the option to allow me a full refund was surprisingly pleasant. But i ended up keeping the preorder to the new date anyway just because.
I'm highly tempted to preorder the collector's edition of the guide hardback but I'm waiting for sure until I move into my Dorms int he fall so it can arrive at my address. The price for the Collector's Edition of the Stategy guide, not the crazy uber Prima one, isn't that priced for a guide. I could totally buy a guide for 28 bucks especially considering it's a collectors edition of a guide.

Im preordering when I can.
Even if DA:I is only half the game I expect it to be it will still be twice as good as any other crap that comes out of the gaming industry lately.
I bet my kidneys that DA:I will be the first game after Skyrim which will give me the same satisfaction.
