I pre-ordered the Inquisitor's edition, but my order got messed up and I could not reorder it (Gamestop gives you one chance only to get it right, apparently). So I have a Deluxe Edition pre-ordered for my PS4. I'm sad that I won't have the map and game pieces, but I can live without them. (I can also live with the $100 I'm not spending as well!)

I'm not pre-ordering anything of Bioware's, not after ME 3. Yes I know that DA:I is made by a different team. That's the reason why I'm still considering buying it, if it was made by the same team I wouldn't be here.

That different team made DA2. Just saying.

I am getting the game on release day, but I am not preordering. My reasoning is that I don't like giving any of my money for a service or product until I have the service or product. Also, I almost always get the preorder bonus because my local store puts the copies on the shelves due to the fact that they don't sell them as preorders, so I don't miss out on anything.

True, but DA 2 was pretty much a stand-alone game so it's flaws annoyed me less than ME 3 which had two whole games as a build up. But, yes it's another reason to be wary.

I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition for my Xbox360, which seems to have decided to die, so I changed my pre-order to Xbox One. The delay gives me that extra time to save up for the new console. I was probably going to give in anyway, since Witcher 3 isn't being released for the 360. (And I plan on pre-ordering that as well, if there is any sort of bonus for doing so...)

The more I see of the game the more I settle onto the wait until after release and get it on sale side of the fence. Just not excited about anything I've seen.

Nope, publishers and developers have the Bill Clinton syndrome, I thought about it and was close to doing so, but after watching multiple releases and thinking back to the 5 pre-orders all which where AAA titles all of which where mass failures the trend needs to stop. Proof first , then I will buy. The lies and misleading the customer stops now in my book. Will wait. Don't take this a troll remark, I want DAI to be great! However time will tell.

Stand-alone? That game is the story of the character whom Bioware claims to be the "most important in our(Dragon Age) world" - words from Mark Darrah himself.
Besides that, the game is called Dragon Age 2 for a reason. Inquisition is arguably a stand-alone based on it's title.
We are just yet to see how loyal and forthright Bioware is to their fanbase.

Of course he would say that, he wanted to sell his game. How many people would buy DA 2 if they marketed it as: "Play DA 2 a story of an average Joe. Take part in a life of Kirkwall were no matter what you do everything goes to hell".
I called DA 2 pretty much a stand-alone game because in every part we play as a different character.
Edit: I get the feeling that Hawke was supposed to be the "most important in our(Dragon Age) world" but at the time they made the game something went terribly wrong and DA 2 became what we see now. A pity, the game had potential.

I'm pretty certain I'll pre-prder the Standard Edition by now and get the Deluxe stuff later if i feel the need to do so. Would've pre-ordered the PC Deluxe Edition if it was available in Europe.

You're on the Bioware forum here. Most of the users are bioware fans.
In fact most of the users are bioware fans that have stayed here after DA 2 and ME 3.
So your not going to find many that haven't preordered the game.
I haven't. I had preordered DA 2 and that taught me a serious lesson.
I am here, because i am interessted in the game.
A lot of what they said and showed does sound like they learned from DA 2.
But it will still take quite some convincing before i preorder another bioware game.
Preorders are a great issue of trust and that's not really there anymore after they just plain out lied to their fans concerning ME 3.
This.
Except I didn't pre-order DA 2 either, as I was already very suspicious after seeing the gameplay.
