My read is that while they have a conventional approval system, in order to progress in a relationship, you have to complete a companion's quest line.

A mage can use many ways to charm Cassie and if everything else fails, one could always use the blood magic.

I have a feeling there is going to be a LOT of disgruntled peeps out there if Cass turns out to be race-gated. Myself included. So here's hoping BioWare had the foresight to uh....not...do that. >_>

Yuh I can't think of a good character reason for her to be race gated. I guess we don't know anything about her character to say. But it would be a travesty.

If Cullen had a crush on mage warden I don't see why Cassandra cannot be attracted to a charming mage. Not every Andrastian is like Meredith.

those bound lips make it impossible to....kiss. lolThe step above Mage-Templar love would be Arvaarad-Saarebas love, now thats unbelievable

I don't think she will care for the Mage Inquisitor, unless the Inquisitor is mage apologist and hates themselves for their magic, and if she does enter into a relationship with a Mage Inquisitor it will just be to keep a closer eye on them and make it easier for her to put a knife in the Inquisitor's back.

I'm really interested in seeing how far you can take her romance and Qunari Mage who is strongly anti-chantry is my starting point.
Wish me luck! Muahahaha!

It'll be interesting to see play out, that's for sure. What if the Magi Inquisitor is anti-Circle? Will their differing ideals impede a relationship? We're told that Cassandra used to view the world in black and white, and that her character arc is about coming to terms with the many shades of grey. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

Yup.
Nope, thats not a kiss. She was faking a peck on the cheek to tell him, that she will be back to extract her vengeance on all the PUNY MAGES.
HAHAHAHAHAHA....

I just realize that if you romance her as a mage, you basically have a Rhys x Evangeline 2.0.
I'm tempted now to go for mage first.

Well, if Fenris was able to, I'm sure Cass will. His hatred for magic seemed far greater than hers could possibly be.

I am just looking forward to seeing how many whiners will be on here, complaining they couldn't romance Cassandra with their anti-Chantry, mage-supremacist, wannabe Blood Mage, evil mage dude.

What if the Inquisitor is just anti-Circle... will she view that the same as anti-Chantry, mage supremacist, wannabe Blood Mage, evil mage dude?

I think Cass is willing to listen, provided the inquisitor gives good arguments.
She is not unreasonable.

No. Cassandra is not unreasonable, but that may be a point of contention between the two. But she does hate Blood magic, she certainly does NOT see mages as superior, and I doubt she thinks evil guys are "cool".

My guess is that Cassandra's not going to be too happy with anyone who puts their pet issues ahead of saving the world.

Well, they can always just leave her behind doing something "evil".

I don't think that will work in DA:I actually. I think that if you do something that a companion strongly opposes, then they will hear about it. It won't be like in DA:O where you could practically be the diametric opposite of your romance partner, aslong as you showered them with gifts and didn't take them with you on quests.

We had it both in DAO and DA2, I wouldn't be so sure it will be different in Inquisition.
It's not 100% realistic, but it's convenient. After all, we should be able to have all of them available, more or less. And we won't be able if they'll hear about everything. It makes sense of course that Anders who strongly opposed any deals with demons can break with Hawke for example, but then again we were able to turn this around.
So my guess is - as long as someone won't do something really horrible (and without a decent reason to boot) companions should be fine, LI or not.

If Cullen can, I'm sure she can too. I haven't seen anything showing that she would have any problems with mages. Just because she's a Seeker doesn't mean that she hates mages.

She's not only a Seeker, a bunch of blood mages killed her family also. It's more complicated than that.
