I'd rather see more non-romance news (AKA the rest of the game), as it seems we've recently had an influx of romance news. Just my opinion.

I'd rather they talk about the actual game at comic con,  It seems all we get now is romance related news, it's about time we get something else.

 

And with the remaining two companions being race gated, I highly doubt we'll see it at a panel, because all the horndogs will whine and cry that they can't romance blah blah blah with a blah blah blah.

I don't think it's been confirmed that the last two LIs are race-gated.  People are just assuming that's the case.  It could very well be one of the LIs that hasn't been announced as unrestricted (i.e. anyone that isn't IB and Josephine).

 

Personally I would like to see a bit more about the game at CC as opposed to romances, particularly on the specializations and new party banter mechanics (that opt-in system sounds super promising and I want to see it in action).

I don't really feel like we've had all that much information on romances... it's just a laser focus on the forums so it seems that way, but we really haven't imo. It really hasn't been a huge deal, other than "____ is a LI"  or a few basic questions answered (and usually on somewhere like Gaider's tumblr, or twitter, etc and not through an 'official' channel) and that's basically that. I mean we basically got Dorian's LI status answered through a Facebook reply for goodness sake.

Out of the many questions in the raptr QA session, only a small few were even answered about romances, compared to the many about other things in the game.

 

Personally, at this point I'd rather get them announced and out of the way so I can start hyping myself for other things about the game, but that's just me.

OP, you do realize that making a thread about once a week about this isn't doing any good,right?  The BW employees that read these forums have zero control over what is going to be announced next.  They are also very aware that we want the last LIs revealed.  That's on the BW marketing department.  Rather than start another thread in a week, why don't you politely email their marketing department to ask.  Spamming threads in here and in the Feedback section isn't going to get your answer any faster.

Why would people want to spoil themselves with more gameplay or plot details.

I think they just like getting the romance options out of the way first because it IS news but doesn't really spoil anything about the game. My  guess is that we will get more news of the rest of the game once we're closer to launch date. (Though I'm really hoping we get some more info on the Inquisitor backstories at Comic Con)

For similar reasons they want to spoil themselves about the romances, I'd imagine. I enjoy the romances but they aren't the be-all and end-all by any means.

 

Also, are you implying that romances aren't part of the plot or storyline?

And I'm far more interested in seeing the CC, PC UI, more combat, more locations, class details, sub-class details, armor, customization options, crafting (if it's there), hear all the PC voice actors, see the kinds of weapons and how they handle, etc.

 

You know; stuff I actually care about than some minor part of the companion interaction and sex scenes.

Can't we get more information regarding gameplay and such before we get even more romance stuff? Let's hear about the Keep. Give us the details regarding agent management and keep defence. Show us Skyhold. Reveal the PC UI. Demonstrate character creation.

 

Any or all of this before more romance news please...

They said they were moving on to non-character stuff soon. The LI announcement takes about 15 seconds. "___ and ___ are love interests, you can romance them with ___ gender and ___ race". That's seriously all it takes. It's not like it's going to take up a ton of time from gameplay or whatever else.

Yep, same here. Basically, my first choice romance was gender-gated, and my second choice romance is Blackwall. Currently I'm sitting on my third choice romance (Iron Bull). It would be really great to know if I'll have desirable options come October 7th; once that's out of the way, I can focus on getting generally excited about the game.

More game play info, agree, such as crafting, but I'd like to put romance behind me and only way that can happen is to complete the LI announcements first

Agreed, and I'd like to keep it that way.  I just wanna know who they are, and with what kind of Inquisitor they'll be open to. And once the LI's are out of the way, people will stop asking about them, and we can get more info on the gameplay! Win-win!

Why do they need to announce Vivienne as straight? Cassandra is already straight. The last two LIs being bisexual and of opposite genders would mean equal options for everyone.
