Would you like to spend more time cruising around in an Atlas?

When I see an Atlas I always try to hijack it. Unfortunately I have a rather high failure rate, they die so darn easy, once inside of one with even a 1/3 health though I tend to have a lot of fun. Now this may be in part due to nostalgia. I'm not sure how many here have played the mega man x series but they were some enemies that used powered armor and if you killed them before they suited up you could use the armor for a while.

I believe it would have been nice if Shepard would have manage to recover an atlas and perhaps had the ability to use it in some missions. I'm thinking something along the lines of a defensive mission. However to make it challenging you'd not only need to destroy the enemy but keep them from getting past you. This would add some difficulty as the player would have to compensate for the slow mobility of the machine. Say for example you're defending some civilians and you need to prevent husks from reaching them while dealing with some brutes.

With constant use the novelty would probably get old but if the atlas does return in mass effect ? I hope we get more opportunities to make use of it. After all surely the Normandy could have fit one of the hijacked machine into it for future use. Also I would have liked to see Rex driving an atlas.

I enjoy being the footsoldier more than sitting in a death-dealing machine, I think. It was nice in ME3 to mix it up in a couple of missions, but I prefer it being kept to a minimum. Or if the hi-jackable Atlas returned, at least change the environment to compliment it (and offer more difficulty). But yeah, it's not a big priority for me. Being on foot and then exploring in the Mako is all I need to be happy :)

I don't mind hijacking an atlas once or twice, but I rather be on the ground where I can contol the squadmates using their powers when I want. You can't do that being in an atlas.

Not so much, no.

If they want to look at a game which did vehicular hijacking and combat right, they ought to emulate Activision's classic "Battlezone."

The only reason to hijack an atlas is for the achievement, after that there really isn't a point in using it.

Hijacking an Atlas proved to be more difficult than initially thought it would be, I always end up destroying them instead. I've fought a lot of Atlas mechs in my various ME3 playthroughs but I got the achievement for this about month or so ago.

As for riding an Atlas, the experience is over rated. I always pilot the Atlas at Grissom Academy but overall I I don't really feel as if I've been given a major advantage over the opposition. More so than anything it's the lack of mobility which puts me off the Atlas.

The atlas is rather clunky but I would like to pilot a smaller mech that is a bit faster and agile. Maybe also with thrusters so it can fly a little.

This guy overhere has a massive lego army of sci-fi battle troops: it provides some fun ideas on futuristic combat vehicles and troopers:

Prefer a light or medium tank. Lower profile, better armor, and stronger weapons. I would like a hostile environment atlas for planet exploration.

Nice.

Personally, I Would have loved a mech, like the wolverine, from C&C Tiberian Sun: https://m.flickr.com...o81/3070898977/

I would not, but thank you for asking.

I did enjoy my time with it in Leviathan, though.

Once in a while, in a specific mission or situation, but I do agree that despite their power they are slow and clunky.

you Mako, me Hammerhead. you wouldn't catch one swing on me, boy. I'm too quick for you to even touch me, old man! I'd blow you into smithereens from above and you wouldn't land one hit.

No. I hate anytime the game makes me go into an Atlas, but I love the Mako (the Hammerhead shall not be mentioned, evil thing).

Titanfall...

While it has some seriously shallow progression (and not much incentive to prestige/regen other than the promise of a sticker with a higher number next to your name)....

It has some of the smoothest/seamless gameplay I've ever seen in a competitive PvP shooter. Though, as of late it's been one of the 'cool' things to hate on.

Provided the Mako doesn't snipe you from a good way off with its 155mm mass accelerator cannon, ending the fight before the Hammerhead pilot knew it began.
