Insanity play through question.

My question is will that knock me out of getting the trophy? The game didn't save in any way during that time but I read an old thread about how this works and it says you get a flag for changing difficulty, I'm not sure if it sticks with you no matter what on that career or if it's like it never happened since I loaded the save from before I got it.

Wish I had thought about keeping that save and going back after completing the game THEN lowering the difficulty to do other things. =/
My first insanity run was blown because I switched the difficulty to insanity right after waking up in Lazarus Station rather than at the start game screen. I got all the way to the end and no achievement popped up. I was rather miffed. So I went back and did it again. Can't say I got any better the second time round. Or the third. Or fourth. ![]()

When I did my insanity run for the trophy, I just did enough to move the story forward. I only had 8 squadmates, two were loyal, and did the suicide mission. Got the trophy.

Hehe. That would definitely be a big let down after all that work. Would also be bad to start all over when not having to. I dunno might as well just start over tomorrow instead of worring about it. Don't really want to go through the collector ship and suicide mission twice on insanity if I don't have to.
Neither of those missions is particularly hard if you use the Kasumi glitch. Just have her flashbang Harby once in a while and then concentrate on getting rid of all the other bad guys. The arc projector is good for stripping armor off husk hordes, then Throw to kill them. And for the final husk horde on the Collector Ship, just run past them.

If you have no self-respect and just want the trophy, you can always cheat and use gibbed save editor to uncheck the "changed difficulty" flag after playing most of the game on a lower difficulty.
Really though, once you get used to it, insanity is not bad at all. It's very beatable with any class.
