why does my revenant model look transparent?

here's what i did
(replacing the helmed horror with the air revenant model from wow)
 
 
i deleted all of the faces of the head(helmed horror) mesh but kept one face,
then i attached it to the revenant's head mesh, then deleted that one face of the helm horror's head mesh
i did the same to the rest of the meshes and applied the revenant's texture to them
and i did all this using 3ds max

Your envmap column (appearance.2da) is **** instead of default. Changing it to default will use the tileset envmap I believe. Or you can specify one. Since you have a null envmap, it assumes you want transparent textures instead of shiny textures. Your texture file has an alpha layer which is ready-made for shininess.

One hint for the future. If you use something with blending punchtrough and/ or a skinmesh + transparency you always have an alphabug where every part becomes "invisible" that is behind the mesh with the texture. It´s a strange bug so MerricksDad hint is the fix. **** instead of default always if you use transparency on a model!

i deleted the alpha channel of its texture in photoshop, tested it in nwn, and its works good now
