Hi there,

I have been searching for an answer of this topic for hours.  I would like to know how to create and import a texture to use for an overland map like Kamal had for his Faerun Overland Map module prefab.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how this is done... basically what format the image needs to be in, what is the maximun dimension (by pixels) the image can be, how to get it into the toolset, and then how to "paint" it to the module's exterior area.

That you all so much,

You might take a look at Kamal_'s texture project and see how he did it.

Like this ? http://neverwinterva...un-overland-map

That's a custom vfx where the size of the billboard effect is the same size as the area. The texture of the vfx is the picture of the map you want to use. The picture can be any resolution, the higher the better.

If you mean something where you are actually painting terrain, like http://neverwinterva...texture-project then yes look at how I did my texture project. While you can have unlimited resolution, in practice it won't matter because the toolset tiles the texture over the painted area, and you can't control how large the tiling size is (so you can't paint the giant map texture from the first link in this post and have it look like that for instance).

Thanks rjshae and kamal_!

Kamal_, it was your implementation of the Faerun Overland map that I was interested in. I can now begin the porcess of deconstructing how it was done and hopefully reverse-engineer it for my test campaign. That you both for your constrcutive and prompt answers.
