I'm HOPING to get more substantial info at SDCC; however, I think we'll get a screenshot teaser at best.  Kinda like what they did when they teased ME3 DLC. 

 

Some may be quick to point at the fact that "conceptual prototype" footage was shown at e3; giving the impression that they've got a long way to go.  But here the thing: I don't remember seeing time/date stamps on those bits of footage.  So, who knows how long ago those things were created.  They could be much futher along than we've been lead to believe based on e3.

 

I think there might even be a trailer, and at the very least some substantial information about when the game is set and where they're heading in terms of the major themes and gameplay.

I think announcing the title of the next Mass Effect game might be something they hold off on until after Dragon Age: Inquisition is released to try and avoid anything that might divert the focus away from the upcoming game, for it seems to be starting to hit the starting point of a heavy PR push. We might see some vague renderings or anything from the game that can easily be changed, but something concrete like the title of the game I can't see happening.

 

As far as a possible title something different perhaps, Mass Effect: Controversy

This game will focus mainly on exploring the galaxy, finding the hottest babes—human or alien, male or female—and take shots of 'dat ass' to post on the intergalacticweb.  There will be opportunities for combat when the "target" responds in Renegade fashion to your artisitcs attempts. 

 

You can also create and modify your own yearly calendar of the best asses in the galaxy, but limited to 36 total.  The calendar can be exported and used on your desktop.

 

This game will also incorporate the use of Smart (gl)Ass.

Won't be called Mass Effect. I estimate that it will have to decide what tech the galaxy borrowed from the Reapers. Probably something about dark energy inversion. To keep the brand name recognizable, they'd have to go with a subtitled sort of thing or pick a name similar to Mass Effect. My bet's on the latter: Positron Effect or something to that order (or Gamma Effect if they want to seem palatable to a wider audience).

//EDIT: Now that I think about it, Gamma Effect is a good candidate due to the whole supersymmetric particle hypothesis and the previous mention of dark matter in the series.

Yep. They've already confirmed that it'll have Mass Effect in it, I think. It just will not be Mass Effect 4.
