Baldur's Gate 1 PC version, which I am currently replaying has five discs (CDs).
Am I going to be switching discs a lot?

And a sixth with the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion.

this is why i love PC gaming "LONG LIVE TH3 PC MA5T3R RAC3"! sorry couldnt resist. honestly though, there are systems today that still use disk swap? though dual layering blotted that out?

I remember switching discs with my PS2.
Good times. Good times.

I'm pretty sure ME3 (and probably) ME2 were dual-layered. Still had multiple discs.

I think that's the best solution, less wear and tear on the disc tray and no chopping up the story to work with disc switching like ME2 and ME3.

Microsoft Office 97 came on 45 floppy disks (if you remember those)
so media installs are much more elegant now.

I played several games as a youngster on those. Although I think the biggest game I ever had was only like.. 10 or 12 of those. Probably some nerdy dinosaur games or something.
