Just dropping in to say that I only have had one sexual partner in my life, and we are married now. I find it scary that lots of seem to think that I chose a "bad ending" because of the fact that I "breed for love." The social pressure is only an issue for people who have insecurities about their sexuality.

Do you feel I'm judging you? If I think that most people wouldn't do that and you do it, that means I look down on the type of relationship you enjoy?

Honest questions.

I personally think people need to remember that this isn't a dating game and that romances are a very small optional extra. Okay, it was a nice touch adding them at first, but now it seems to be spiraling out of control and suddenly people want every different form of relationship added into the game just for the sake of them being included. What will adding romances like this achieve other than using up valuable time and resources that could have been used elsewhere to improve the main part of the game just to appease a small group of people in a small aspect of the game?

Perhaps adding romances at all was a mistake.

There's no perhaps about it

edit: Although i think it is easy to forget the people who post here comprise a very small portion of the people who buy and play the games

Fair enough. My post was more of a comment on the prevailing sentiment of the thread, save for the bit about social pressure influencing monogamy. I suppose i have a bad habit of replying to a comment instead of a thread.

I'm not even going to touch the rest of your post, but why on earth would you believe this to be the case?

Cultural standard and common personal action of woman. The only time woman normally look outside of their relationship if it's not satisfactory for them.  Men normally know to do so out of lack of self control.

You should probably try framing things as just stating your opinions, instead of trying to generalize about humanity. Because you sound like a real toolbox.

Everything I say is my opinion. Obviously everyone has a different idea about what love and relationships are. We are all sharing our opinions here.

I think polyamory would have been added already if wasn't so hard to do from a technical standpoint. I hope they eventually can figure out how to do it because it would be a cool option to have, character wise and story wise.

People aren't polyamorous because they lack self-control though, so even if this was true, it's irrelevant.
