Lol, for those of you who can't find Zaeed, just go to Omega, he's in the very first room

The reason Zaeed isn't in the base game is that everyone would ask themselves "Why is this companion acting like a placeholder?". By having it like DLC, it seems the fact that he's like a cheap mod character is excused.

Once installed, you just have to go to Omega, and he'll be right there, as you're getting off the Normandy.

The simple answer. Time constraints. They wanted to add him, but thought of him AFTER the game was out of their hands. The game itself stop being developed about 12 weeks before it's on the shelves. SO...they couldn't put him in the game because they didn't have time. So they gave him to us for free.

I knew where he was but he just wasn't there after I installed the DLC, eventually, I just installed it again and he's there now.

Just so you know. The game was leaked a few days before original release, and Zaeed was availabe for pirates to download on the official launch day.

Seriously, nothing can stop hackers. Steam has tried and the best it could accomplish was to deny pirates the chance to get patches, and even then they do get them after a time.

I for one think the reason Zaeed is a DLC squad mate is because they decided somewhat late wheter to release him or the the thief first, and by then some game discs had already been made and were shipped.

1. The game was so big that they couldn't fit him in with all of his missions.



2. They wanted to make it exclusive for all the MAJOR mass effect 2 fans who wanted to preorder the game.
