What other plans do you think were at play to defeat the Reapers? Regardless of how ultimately doomed to failure they might have been, what do you think STG, the Asari Commandoes, other Spectres, or any other faction was working on?

Seems the most we heard about were evacuations and small scale skirmish victories from multiplayer.

Nobody ever thought to use the Mass Relays as giant mass accelerator weapons.

The Asari plan was to win through love. They were broadcasting jointly produced Asari-Japanese mecha-tentacle hentai to the Reapers.

I like the way you think.

I'd think the Geth might have the most out-of-the box plans. Unconstrained by morality and normal ideas of mortality, they could consider hiding within the Reaper h/w like the Relays, or actually usurping a Reaper's mind and uploading to it.

Given the Salarians' apparent desire to just stay out of it I'm thinking they were preparing ways to hide in mass stasis like the Protheans on Ilos.

I imagine Spectres were just handling threats as they saw them, doing tactical things and stuff in places. Hunting indoctrinated people like the guy on the Citadel, helping with evacuations and blowing up Husk armies and the like. Side mission-type stuff.

There were plans within The Pentagon to build an Intelligence that would be tasked to preserve organic life at all costs.

I wonder what a Council or Geth created artificial intelligence tasked with destroying the Reapers at any cost would do? It could hide over several cycles like the Leviathan did, study the Reapers, and try to hide some thing in the genetic material of the next cycle that could be uploaded into a Reaper and coopt it.

Heck, I wouldn't mind a retcon where we discovered that there was a hidden intelligence doing just that, that managed to manipulate humanity into a position to stop the Reapers.

They could have used Niftu Cal, Biotic God! Surely, this is the only solution that was not looked at. xHFxVze.gif

They didn't have a clue what the Crucible did beyond releasing "enormous amounts of energy".

At the very least, they knew it would work against the Reapers, that it had destructive properties, and that it utilized the mass relays.
