It makes me kind-of nervous about calling morrigan unattractive since it now reflects on a real person and not just the good or bad job an artist did. With that said, I liked the earlier models and CGI of Morrigan better.

When did Jessica first do this cosplay, though? I'm sure that Morrigan has had this design for at least two years now. Did Jessica cosplay a fancy Orlesian Morrigan and then they designed Morrigan to match? Or did they design Morrigan as a fancy Orlesian and then Jessica, because she's on the dev team and had access to early concept art, cosplay the new look?
My gut is that it's the latter.
Unless you are talking about Morrigan's face, in which case, I don't see much of a resemblance between Jessica and Morrigan other than both being pale, dark-haired white women. The shape of their face, chin, nose, eyes, etc are pretty different.
I agree, she doesn't look well in DA:I! I commented about her looks on another site and everyone jumped on me saying she looked the same?! You have to be blind not to notice that she hasn't aged well! lol.......Morrigan is awesome always 
Seriously? She looks the same except longer bangs and better graphics. I think she looks even better before and she was gorgeous before.
I do not think she's aged a bit, honestly. But everyone sees everything a little differently. I'm glad I find her gorgeous, but that's not all that should matter about her character anyway, it's just a bonus.

The latter seems much more likely to me too, since that is exactly what they did with some of the Heroes of Cosplay cosplayers. Either way, her face is definitely not Morrigan's face.

Thanks Allan. That's what I assumed. But I wanted to see if we could clarify it since I've seen it brought up several times in response to complaints about Morrigan's looks.

The trailer picture sucks. The background picture in the character page looks ok. Truth is, if I didn't know that Morrigan is in the game, I'd have a hard time recognizing her from those. The only instance where she is familiar and recognizable is the trailer with Cullen wearing the lion head.

ps: It's not in character - Morrigan, while proud and a little antagonistic, was always a little vain, too (remember the mirror (not the Eluvian) - she loves beauty and not only because seduction is useful to her!)

They don't have modern Cosmetics or derma-care Products in Thedas...
That's probably simply because the previous games didn't offer as much detail when it came to rendering faces (and well, everything else) When the higher fidelity kicked in, it became more obvious that --contrary to what the media try to sell it-- human skin isn't naturally perfectly uniform and smooth.She was a total babe and now looks like she has used the wrong cosmetics (and derma-care products) for the last 10 years -.-

That's probably simply because the previous games didn't offer as much detail when it came to rendering faces (and well, everything else) When the higher fidelity kicked in, it became more obvious that --contrary to what the media try to sell it-- human skin isn't naturally perfectly uniform and smooth.
Part of it might also be lighting and/or the artists not yet being fully comfortable with the new tools -- we likely got to see the early version of Morrigan, and it's possible there were tweaks made since then.
I doubt that's the case. Leliana looks great for example in every picture and video they've showed us. All the others look like they have new directions imo. I think only Varric got improved without looking that different.

I love the way Morri's dress pretty well matches the one that Leliana would have picked out for her if they could stand each other long enough to go shopping together. If Morrigan is good at anything, it's using what she's got to her advantage. I can't wait to see what's been going on with her while I was away.
I dunno, I think she looks quite good, like a young Flemeth.
