I think she looks perfectly aged, same goes for Leliana. The only person in the entire cast whose face got butchered is Cassandra if you ask me.
Why an ugly Morrigan?

They don't have modern Cosmetics or derma-care Products in Thedas...
They have magic
(oh and a lot of stuff can be done by household remedies, too - don't forget Morrigan is a) a witch and
lived in the wilds (so she had to know her herbs etc.))

no I think its just her eye brows and chin.
What's wrong with them? I'm genuinely not seeing the problem people might have with Cassandra's face.

That's a huge improvement over the trailer image...
Yeah the trailer image, and to a lesser extent that one, don't even look like its from the same engine when compared to the other characters. Hopefully we can get some pictures that can measure up to the pictures of Varric, Cass, Josie etc.

You have to remember, its been at least several years since the events of Origins. Ending the blight in Origins and with Hawke trying to earn her/his way into Kirkwall in the second game took a year alone. Then there were several months (more?) between each act in Dragon Age 2. She's going to look older. I do think that her trailer appearance was better than some of the in-game screenshots of her though.

Wh-what...? Woman not...soft faced? Not long hair? Woman...break metal gate herself???? Inconceivable!?!?
Alternatively: Oh no, a woman who can probably bench press you who is also stunning, truly there is no "worse" fate than to woo such a woman.
I know, right? Those monsters.
I wouldn't call Cassandra from the trailer stunning. She looks more hatchet-face to me. Like she could take down a steel gate with her face.
It's my right to find it aesthetically unappealing. And yes, I was fine with Aveline, aesthetically, and I plan to take Cassandra in my main party.
And back on topic, the trailer Morrigan looks pretty horrible. That screenshot isn't bad, though.

Morrigan didn't get that much uglier, she just looks like she needs a sandwich or two.
Now Cassandra on the other hand, she got it way worst.
It's like "LIFE" took a pipe to her face.

The years have not been kind to Cassandra, that's for sure.

Seriously? Has she not been eating well or something? I'm worried she might be ill.

Oh yeah!
P.S besides she's a shapeshifter,if you don't like it, ask nicely and she might change...into a bereskarn, if you're into that kind of thing.

I doubt that's the case. Leliana looks great for example in every picture and video they've showed us. All the others look like they have new directions imo. I think only Varric got improved without looking that different.
Yes, even after being tortured Leliana looks great -- her lip gloss looks fah-bulous!

I like her fierce eyes. But the jaw. I only wished they fixed the f***ing jaw.

her eyebrows are a little ragged and pointy.
People keep mentioning the eyebrows as if she doesn't look like someone took a mini steamroller to her cheeks. I think that's the reason Morrigan and Cassandra look ugly to many; the lines in bone structure look very sharp and they both look really skinny, which is modern ideal but one which most people don't find attractive in extremes (inc me).
Anapawn, hurruh.
I don't understand how people are finding the new terminator versions of Cullen and Varric appealing. Why do men have to gain cheeks like rock in order to kickass?

Just saw the Jessica cosplay on page 2 or 3. Wow, that's really awesome. The number of hours that must have gone into the bodice alone is staggering. That costume deserves a lot of appreciation.

Morrigan doesn't look bad either. She looks 10 years older because it's been 10 years.
(Was I the only person to assume the beauty mark is fake? People do grow moles, but my first thought on seeing Morrigan's was that it was one of those fake beauty marks 17th century aristocrats used to wear with their powdered wigs)
Leliana is the only one who I really thought looked rough, and that's mostly because she looks much more gaunt than she did in the previous games. And, given what we know about the opening of Inquisition... she may have just lost someone who was very dear to her, so I can understand her looking haggard.

she looks wayyy better from this angle.
That hair falling into her eye must be so annoying. I'll bet she's always pushing it back so she can see.

Well, like someone said, the facial features are pretty extreme, so the people who lean that way really like it and people who don't really like it really don't.
Me? I'm more in the camp of 'meh, I'm sure someone will mod it'. Given how polarized people regard some of the character's appearances, I think it'd be the second mod created for the game (right after the obligatory nude patch).
I think the only character appearance people are satisfied with is Varric.

That too also her chin is very sharp and chiseled like a man almost making her stone faced but in dragon age 2 she had a more round feminine face but its whatever I can't control other peoples view of things so ill just suffer through her jaw cutting me if we hug.People keep mentioning the eyebrows as if she doesn't look like someone took a mini steamroller to her cheeks. Except for Leliana and Cullen I don't like the faces of the presented Characters at all. I'm not 100% sure why, I guess they look somewhat "swollen" to me. The cheekbones and checks are flat and the lips are blown up like they used to much botox *scnr*.
Maybe it's due to the "caucasian" perception of face-characteristics. Maybe this is wanted by BioWare, but I hope they will "refine" the faces a bit to give them more distinctive facial features (I couldn't explain it better, sorry).
